but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4: 14

The things of God differ from the things of men. This was evident when Jesus had the need to go through Samaria when he went from Judea to Galilee. When we feel about going somewhere and talking to someone, or reading the Bible and praying, we must heed the touch of God. This way we will see that there really was a purpose in what He made us feel. As we give place to the Holy Spirit, we are and will be very successful!

Tired of the journey, the Savior did not use the power received from the Father to rest. He went with the disciples to buy something to eat. However, He was alone at the well of Jacob. It is good to have the sensitivity of the Lord and not move away from where He wants you to be. There, He will send the needy to be blessed by you. Nothing will equal the pleasure of helping anyone to be fulfilled by the Lord.

When the Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus knew that the Father had touched His heart to change the course and send the disciples for food. Then, He could stay alone in that place to carry out a mission. It is not good to turn from God’s plan, because we do not know when He will send someone for us to fulfill in them the will of the Lord. Believe, because divine purposes will be fulfilled just like the Most High wants.

The Master did not miss the opportunity to speak to the woman, who had undoubtedly been brought there to be evangelized. While taking water, that Citizen by the well asked if she could give Him water. Her response did not matter, because He just wanted to start a dialogue. Then, wisely, He said Who He was, the eternal God, who has the water which is able to quench the thirst of man and produce a spring of water that will flow to eternal life.

During the conversation, Jesus presented Himself as the True Water Bearer. Those who have not yet drank from it live in search of many things. However, anyone who drinks from it will never thirst. Those who seek the water of the world can easily fall into the snares of the devil, because, since they do not know the Solution to their evils, they accept various temptations and fall into sin.

Christ said that the water given by Him causes a spring gushing forth into eternity in the person who drinks it. The Samaritan woman replied that she wanted to drink from that water, but she had not yet been prepared for it. Then the Savior told her to go and call her husband. She saw that the One before her was one with a greater anointing, a prophet. The Master did not let her deflect from the subject and blessed her just as God intended.

The Lord showed knowledge of all things, and the woman went to call the people of that city, that they might see the man who spoke all that she had done. When a person approaches God, there are stages that we need to understand and respect. We cannot speak all at once, because the Most High is the One who does the work. Allow yourself to be guided by Him!

In Christ with love,

Lord! We need to live in Your presence to know where to go and what to give to the people that have been placed next to us. In speaking Your words, we will provoke surprise and desire to know You in those who hear us, even in those who live in sin.

The example left by Your Son fits perfectly into what You command us to do. Although people do not understand us when we approach them, they will soon understand that You speak through whom You send. We are grateful because You teach us to obey Your will.

It is our mission to give Your water to those who seek the Truth in many places, but had not found it yet. Having tasted it, they will live in a different way, completely fulfilled.  Thank You for the Living Water! Amen!
