So Isaac sent Jacob away, and he went to Padan Aram, to Laban the son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, the mother of Jacob and Esau. Genesis 28:5

It must not have been easy for Isaac to send his son away from home, especially at a time when there was no safety in the way and no rule of law. But what the man of God feels in his heart is above any other feeling. After all, if the Lord has told you so, it must be done in spite of the problems that may arise on the way to the appointed place. As a man of prayer, Isaac obeyed the orders.

Jesus has sent us to preach the Gospel all over the world, but some, wondering what might happen to them and not knowing that it is a trick of the enemy to keep them from fulfilling the divine order, make excuses, and many people remain unachieved. Now when God gives us a mission, He becomes responsible for what will happen to us if we suffer any harm.

The preaching of the Gospel does not depend on looking at the sky, seeing it without clouds, taking the plane and leaving, but on pure obedience. Isaac’s command to Jacob came from the Lord. Now the seed of Abraham would pass through one of Laban’s daughters, coming to Jesus. We are very careful to condemn Laban for giving Leia to Jacob, because Judah, from whence Christ came, was born of Leia and not of Rachel.

Isaac sent Jacob, and he went. This gives us a lesson: we have to go where our Father sends us. The road was deserted and dangerous, but for those who obey it would be no problem. With the blessing he would obtain, he would return full of goods, with children and wife. When Jacob became interested in the most beautiful and lovely, he knew that he would have to work free for seven years to have her. And he worked!

For him that was nothing. However, being deceived by his father-in-law, Jacob was furious. Since at that time it was possible to marry more than one, he agreed to stay with Leia, but had to work seven more years for the one he really loved. What a struggle for the Savior to come to earth and deliver us from the kingdom of darkness! Do what is necessary to announce salvation to the lost!

Jacob stood in the path without looking for places to settle down, seeking to fulfill his duty. Thus he reached the plains of Syria. Throughout the course, one sees the direction of the Most High. Likewise, if we choose to do the Lord’s command, His hand will lead us to our destination. Nothing will be missing on the way until we get back with the beams!

We are part of the divine plan. We came to light at this time, because the power of the Lord wanted it that way. Therefore, we must face today’s problems, knowing that He will never leave us or forsake us. Jesus is with us until the end of time. When the time comes for us to depart, He will control everything safely and perfectly.

In Christ, with love,

Our only God! We want to be sent, but never be naughty and mean. Use us to execute your plan. We need to fulfill Your purposes, for besides helping us today, they cooperate for our eternal happiness!

Tell us what to do, where to go, and who to talk to. We put ourselves in Your hands! Make our lives an instrument of love and peace for this lost and desperate world in the hands of the enemy.

What happened to Jacob already in Paddan-aram proves that You were guiding his every step from the change of wife in marriage and the other seven years, when he needed to serve Laban to brighten his heart. You run our life!
