Often times, the servants of the Gospel fall into a trap of the enemy and use arguments that seem like opportunities to enlighten the lost, however in truth they are tactics to distract those who are at the beginning of their Christian faith. The devil knows that if he leads us to say some truths before the right time, those who are not fully enlightened by the Word will be offended and close their hearts to God.
Everything has its right time (Ecclesiastes 3:1). We must respect the little children because they have not the ability or capacity to hear about the secrets of life. Nevertheless one day already matured, they will not be shocked to hear concerning all matters. Therefore, as you evangelize, do not debate about matters of doctrine, such as idolatry. Although the Lord does not tolerate it (Leviticus 26:1) many people are not yet prepared to hear this.
Paul advised Titus not to engage in foolish talk, contentions and strivings. Many confine themselves to argue certain themes and forget that it is the Lord that moves hearts to repent of their sins and enjoy the restoration in His presence. God desires that everybody is delivered from the hands of the dominator and focus on the things from Above. Then the Lord may intercede and interact to help them in any circumstance. He wants us to have life (John 10.10b).
Discussions concerning religion are irrational because in them people speak with no knowledge or authority. Often they show such conviction that they are able to offend those who are not willing to listen. This is not good and does not proceed from the Lord. Usually those that know little or nothing about God and like philosophical religiosity concoct these ideas to be disputed. Their faith is mental so normally as they try at all cost to convince someone they show themselves to be fanatical.
To talk about a servant of God from the past, with little or no information about him, leads our listener to wrong conclusions, although the exalted ones are not biblical. In the Scriptures we do not find this direction; on the contrary it is condemned by the Lord to worship any person. If someone, at any time, behaved according to the Father’s direction, he must not be an idol because according to Jesus we must worship only God (Luke 4:8).
Another foolish example is to debate concerning the Law, or as how the Word should be preached or how to pray. The only model to be emulated is that of Jesus, who being rich delivered us from misery, disease and our sins. We must talk only about what is in the Bible. Surrender more to the Word of God and you will become someone with a heart according to His. The Lord is good!
If what we do for the Most High is not according to the Bible, everything will be void and useless. Why lose time, if we can please God? To fulfill His orders will please Him greatly. When someone is in step and good standing with the Most High their prayers will be granted far above what they think, ask or imagine.

Father! Thank you for calling to our attention that we must never debate men’s teachings, which lead us to be fanatical, harming the understanding of those who are lost and broken. Your doctrine is the truth!
Our lives must praise You, exalt Your Name and keep people in Your presence, without giving in to the enemy. You are special, because as You direct us correctly we are blessed!
We do not have to debate, discuss, argue or do foolish things, but we must teach the Truth as it is. Our services must have Your anointment, so that all that participate in them receive Your blessings. Amen!
