Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?  Haggai 1:4

The preoccupation with daily activities is common in almost everyone’s life. But for those who are not yet saved by Christ, it becomes a passion. Many do not even set aside a moment for their family, because they are always trying to improve their lives. Others don’t have time for themselves, because having prospered, they want to show themselves superior to others. What is the point of this? Be vigilant!

The desire of some is to have the most expensive and powerful car, good brand. They want people to talk about this, because they like applause. In their ego, they feel as if everyone admires them when they parade through the streets with their “machines”. Now, the important thing is to be in communion with God, because when the hour to leave comes, whoever is not saved, persevering in the Way, will go to eternal damnation.

Your home may not be the best on the street, but if you have peace, you feel like the happiest person in town. However, some will consider themselves as failures or that they will be mocked if they live in a poor, unattractive, or unpleasant neighborhood to receive their friends. The good thing is to have somewhere to receive your friends in eternity, being saved and having led them to salvation in Christ.

In those days, the dwellings were made of stucco, as if they were a sandwich. With a bamboo wall or wooden slats and pressed clay putty on both sides. That was 2,500 years ago, but today we still see this kind of construction. As long as we have the excellent Dweller living in us, we don’t need to worry about being materially prosperous, but spiritually blessed by the Lord.

Before long, those who returned from captivity forgot the hardships of the Babylonian land and began to boast about the monumental dwellings they made for themselves. They saw the luxury of Nebuchadnezzar’s territory and imitated the mighty from there. But they neglected the House of the Lord, which remained deserted. Why does man always act this way? Well, many come to us, literally crying for God’s help, but then they forsake Him.

Jesus revealed the secret to having the help of the heavenly power, saying: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33). The Scriptures confirm that the fear of God fills any shortage: Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. (Psalm 34:9). He will supply all our needs according to His riches in Christ (Philippians 4;19).

Take care of God’s work! Nothing is more desirable to the Lord than to see His children going to the mission field to tell everyone about His love. He wants His house to be filled with people seeking and finding salvation and other blessings. Whoever finances missions pleases God in everything. Hallelujah!

In Christ, with love,

God, our memory! We have quickly forgotten the work You did on our behalf, taking us out of the kingdom of darkness and transporting us into the Kingdom of the Son of Your love. We must go to the lost and win them so that Your house may be filled!

It is evident that You want us to be healthy, as well as prosperous. But the needs of Your work need to be met as proof that we seek Your Kingdom and Your righteousness first. It´s so good to be able to love You with all our heart and soul!

May we carry out Your purpose while it is still day! Night will come and break out with all of Satan's hatred - during that time, no one will be able to work. Beloved Father, use us as You wish. We cannot stay in stucco houses, when Yours is left aside!
