“For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering; I will direct their work in truth, And will make with them an everlasting covenant. Isaiah 61:8

The Lord never forgets the redemptive work of Jesus, when the prince of this world was cast out, and justice was fulfilled. God loves justice and takes pleasure in acknowledging what was done in our behalf, fulfilling it in us. Because of the justice Christ carried out against the devil and his demons, we were delivered from all oppression. Evil no longer rules over us!

Because He is holy, the Most High abhors iniquity and every form of oppression. But our neglect for not assuming the sacrifice of Christ is a statement that we do not believe in what was done in our favor. Just imagine, God gave His Son to die in our place! The Master was humiliated by the Jewish authorities, by the Roman soldiers and paid a high price to rescue us, but we did absolutely nothing. We offended Him because of such omission!

By saying that He loves justice, God reveals Himself to those who need Him, so that what Jesus has conquered for man may be fulfilled. He promises to give the reward to those that believe, stating that He will do it faithfully, as stated in His Word. Those who despise His act of love on Calvary will respond to this wickedness. Love justice too!

Our share in the work is the simplest, but it requires a lot of hard work.  It is our duty to seek the true meaning of the salvation accomplished by the Savior when He took our place and paid our redemption with His own life. No patch was made in the law, but something completely new for the accuser to be defeated. We must be holy in all things, despising the devilish offerings.

We are no longer wandering and lost all over the world, for once we are saved, we enter into the Kingdom of the Son of God. We do not need to cry out on the hills and, desperately, begging for mercy. Being part of the eternal Covenant made in the blood of Jesus, we can command that there be oil of joy instead of sorrow on our head, joy rather than frustration and shame (verse 3). Friend, your position in Christ is supreme. Live it!

Love the will of God and be loved by the Father and the Son. They will come and dwell in you. Therefore, whatever you bind on Earth will be bound in Heaven (Matthew 18:18). Your authority in Christ is real; you will never again be oppressed by the devil, but you will be the person who has been given power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy (Mark 16:18). Nothing, absolutely nothing, will harm you. Act now in the Name of Jesus!

Acting on what the Word declares, there will be no failures in the resolutions of your heart. None of your determinations will be denied. On the contrary, you will return with tears of joy, bringing your sheaves of victory (Psalm 126: 5,6). This is your time to overcome and take hold of everything you need, because the faith that God has given you has such power to work this out. Use it!
