This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” Hebrews10:16

In the New Covenant, the Holy Spirit testifies that the message of the Gospel deserves complete trust. Every citizen who hears the preaching of Scripture feels that the biblical message concerns him. Some do not simply convert because they do not love the Lord. Thus, in addition to not giving God the right place in their heart, they fail to obtain salvation and, because of this, they will suffer eternal damnation.

The Most High announced that the covenant made with the sons of Jacob after those days would be complete. Through him the Lord would deliver them from darkness, give them the blessings of Abraham, make them his own people, and not be ashamed to be their Father. In the Gospel, we not only attach ourselves to God, but we also become, in fact, new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), with no condemnation.

With the laws of the Most High in our hearts, we will no longer err the Way. Today, when we hear about something biblical, we feel as if it resides in us. In fact, this already exists, and then we do not have to make a tremendous effort to understand the Word, but only meditate on it. As we take this attitude, the Holy Spirit teaches us what has been given to us, and from one moment to the next, we know how to act to please God.

Before the new birth took place in our lives, we behaved differently. We understood a little bit from every sermon preached, but not with the same faith that dominates us today, making us obey the Lord and get rid of difficulties. One of the greatest gifts is to hear the voice of God and believe in it. Thus we live out of the devil’s reach, as the Most High has planned to serve Him.

In the second part of the verse above, God promised to write His laws in our understanding. This is good, because we will walk with Him, performing the same works of Jesus. The walk with Christ is of the greatest importance, but if we do not heed the revelations of the Lord, we will not escape temptations, and soon we will be more lost than those who have never heard the Gospel.

The Lord would write His laws in our minds, making us complete in Christ. We are the chosen people of the Lord (1 Peter. 2: 9), provided we enjoy the right to become children of God. Anyone who only seeks healing or the solution of some problem will soon walk away from church and walk like most other people: through the wide door and spacious path. Believe: what changes us is the fear of God in our hearts, loving Him truly.

Finally, in verse 17, the Lord promises never to remember our sins. That’s all we could hope for. Without the remembrance of sin, He will not refuse to go before us to defeat the enemy. We no longer have the sense of unworthiness. Halleluiah!
