The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand.  Psalm 121.5

We do not have a human guardian. Even the one who was used to lead us to the Lord can never be that for us. Even Moses, who spoke face to face with God, did not have the necessary qualifications for this. Neither Paul nor the other apostles could be appointed for this mission. The fact that they were faithful to the Most High does not give them the right to protect us. That position belongs to God Himself!

David, the man after God’s own heart (Acts 13.22), was called the shepherd of Israel, but he made it clear that the one who has this title is the Most High: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want (Psalm 23.1). The son of Jesse faced many enemies in battles; however, the fighting in our defense belongs to the Almighty. Being in His hands, we participate in His glory and honor. Thus, we can rest assured that nothing can touch us (Luke 10.19).

Those who study for a competitive examination, even if they have learned enough to do well, need to trust Christ to support them in order to remember the subject. The devil, on the other hand, will make you lose your way when it comes time for the answers. Why worry about tomorrow when Jesus said that sufficient for the day is its own trouble (Matthew 6.34). Now, resting in God’s hands is a privilege that He offers you. With the heavenly Father, the faithful Christian will never be lost.

Trusting in God, we can walk among people of bad repute, who do evil without the slightest regard for the elderly, children, and women. Faith in the Lord perfectly protects us, as Psalm 91 declares: A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you (Psalm 91.7). So put your faith in God, because He has never failed. With Him we are strengthened and protected!

David reaffirmed that the Lord protects us, showing the affection of one who was the shepherd of Israel. He made his people understand the importance of believing in God, because he didn’t want them to take a crooked path away from the Almighty. Those who take the wrong path will reach a destination they didn’t choose, and then it will be too late to return. The saved are already on the path to eternal happiness, so believe and never lose your way!

As the Keeper of Israel, the Most High will be so close to you that He will become your shadow at your right hand. Of one thing be sure: the Lord will never distance Himself from anyone who believes in His Word. That person will be able to sing the hymn that will give him/her security and make him/her enjoy the Light. The enemy and his demons will not hinder you or prevent you from succeeding in your faith in Jesus.

Be fearless and reject what the devil says. In the hands of the Keeper of Israel, you will walk quietly. Even if the King of Hell says that you won’t get very far in your walk of faith, you will answer that faith, acquired by the Word of God, has brought you the necessary power to be under the Lord’s care. Being defeated by the devil is a thing of the past!

In Christ, with love,

Lord, our true Defender! You will never leave us or forsake us, for You said You are the One who has taken on our protection. Father, the enemy has no chance against us, because You are our Shield. We are grateful for that!

We will never allow the presence of fear in our hearts, leading us to give up life and seek in another what no one else but You can give us. We feel safe, because You are our Protection. In You, we will be fulfilled!

Whoever lives by faith will feel Your love and compassion. You will never let Your shadow leave us. Therefore, we will walk with You, the true Keeper of Israel. May You be praised and glorified! Amen!
