When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. Acts 19.6

One of the greatest blessings mankind has received so that he lives victoriously is the baptism in the Holy Spirit, which proves that he was forgiven and his heart of stone has been transformed to a heart of flesh.  In this light, he is authorized to go out into the world and fulfill the last order given by the Savior.  Of course it is necessary to take the Gospel only under the direction of God so that the work may be executed as Jesus did.  

Such an experience is what was lacking to all those that followed the Lord and became His disciples.  Having been resurrected and ascended to Heaven the Savior left a command that they teach the Good news everywhere (Mark 16:15). There cannot be two kinds of mission in the house of God: one under the direction and control of the Lord and the other by the well-meaning, but rebellious against the commands given by the Master who loves Him and who serves Him. 

Baptized in the Holy Spirit, we will face the forces of the kingdom of darkness and put them in their place: under our feet.  Those who do not have this coverage must remain in their Jerusalem until they receive this heavenly gift, which is the authority to fulfill their mission wherever they are sent (Acts 13:2).  The chosen by Jesus will encounter opposition from the devil, temptations, and afflictions but being sealed with His power, they will have His holy consolation.

We must pay more attention to this baptism so that we do not witness some brothers being oppressed by Satan.  However, even being under God’s protective cover, we must be watchful and pray, in order not to fall into temptation.  If there were any special exception where this baptism was not necessary, Jesus would have told us.  Everything that He revealed to some or to a select group of his disciples, he revealed and said to everyone.  Feel, therefore, advised and obey the Lord.

If the apostle Paul were not full of the Holy Spirit, how would he speak to Elymas the sorcerer, a servant of the devil, in front of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus? The magic arts performer went against everything that the apostle preached and Paul, filled with power, reprehended him and warned that he would become blind, which came to happen to Elymas.  Then the proconsul was converted (Acts 13:6-12).  Be sure: there are proconsuls, ambassadors and other authorities that will surrender to the Lord if they see the power of God operating in a spectacular and complete manner.

Thus the signs that they received in fullness: speaking in tongues and prophesying.  If you have not experienced this, you should seek it with the evidence of tongues and prophesies.  Without it you are not authorized to leave your Jerusalem and use the power bestowed on who was sealed by God.  Many had experiences with the Lord but the baptism is much more than this!

The celestial confirmation led those twelve disciples to be baptized in the waters by Christ.  Next, with Paul’s imposition of hands, they were baptized in the Holy Spirit.  It was in this manner and fashion that at Ephesus a most beautiful mission began to preach the Gospel, throughout all of Asia. This baptism is available to all those who wish for salvation, because it’s part of it.
