21/05/2021 - HOW TO NOT BECOME WEARY IN YOUR SOUL

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. Hebrews 12:3

It is sad to know that some people who once were greatly blessed have become weary in their soul and don’t walk with Jesus anymore. What will happen to them when Christ returns to take His bride? We must strengthen the weak, showing what Peter said to those who were unaware: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Be vigilant!

If you don’t want to be lost forever, although you have already accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, think about all the hostility He bore from those who didn’t accept Him as the Messiah, even though they were Abraham’s descendants. They constrained the Lord in every way, declaring He was an impostor and His miracles were false. They didn’t realize the devil was fooling them.

Even Jairus, one of the most important ones in the synagogue, who had the privilege of seeing his daughter come back to life, later did nothing to stop the Jews from surrendering Jesus to the Romans. But because he believed in the Master’s teachings, He ended up in the hands of sinners, who condemned him to death.

As we don’t know why many persecute us, we should pray so that their sins won’t be attributed to them. By the way, that was the advice Jesus gave during His sermon in the mountain, when He said that we are blessed when these things happen: Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you (Matthew 5:11,12).

There is no curse, persecution or suffering without a cause (Proverbs 26:2). The devil fights so you will give up on your calling to persevere in Christ, because he knows that you’re not patient enough to fight through storms. That way, you will make wrong decisions, because you’re expecting the Lord to act quickly on your behalf: The foolishness of a man twists his way, and his heart frets against the Lord (Proverbs 19:3). Pray!

Never surrender to discouragement; if you do that, there will be a feast in hell. Your next actions, after surrendering to discouragement, will be to accept whatever the wide door offers you and to walk to perdition. Sooner than you think, the righteous Judge will come and judge according to the books that make up the Holy Scriptures, which many don’t even read. Know the facts that will make you wise and guide you to heaven!

Since the day you accepted Jesus, Satan ordered his demons to stay by your side continually, in order to tempt you to give up on eternal life. However, God put His angel beside you to protect all of your ways. Who will you listen to? Decide to go until the end with Christ, and heaven will be your eternal home.

In Christ, with love,

Dr. Soares

Lord of our calling! How come many Christians aren’t vigilant and allow the enemy to tempt them, even though they know that he comes to kill, steal and destroy? May we never give in to the master of deceit, but stand firm in our faith and overcome!

We want to follow the example of Jesus! Being a victim of the hostility of Abraham’s descendants, who was Your friend, and not giving in to Satan, He never changed His mind; He resisted the devil and went down to hell to defeat him!

As we consider Your great love, we won’t grow weary or give up on walking by Your side, Savior God! We have a great inheritance in Jesus, and that’s why the enemy wants to move us away from You, so we will suffer eternally. We are Yours!
