To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me. Acts 26.18

When reading about God’s character, about His kind heart, one finds oneself satisfied with His decisions concerning man. Now, the world was materialized because of the being that the Most High planned to create in His image and likeness. With Adam´s fall, the plan was almost thwarted, but with the work Jesus accomplished on the cross, those who hear the Good News rise up to walk by Christ’s holy side.

The Lord told Paul that his mission was to open the eyes of mankind. Now, since there is nothing more for man to suffer – because everything has been placed in the wounds made in the body of Christ – it´s easy to be delivered from evil (1 Peter 2.24). When people become aware of the Good News, they will understand that on God’s part everything has been accomplished for their deliverance. Therefore, if they have known the Truth, they don´t have to tolerate any evil (John 8.32)!

The reason Paul was called also included the conversion of those who were lying in darkness, in order that they might go to the true Light – that of God. One of the Christian’s concerns should be: to help the lost leave the kingdom of lies, suffering, and death and enter the Kingdom of Truth, of the Creator’s love and of all blessings. Don’t let the things of the world stop you from receiving Jesus. Be an overcomer!

The world lies under the sway of the devil (1 John 5:19). Before the coming of Jesus, Satan commanded people with bigger ease. However, the Son of God became incarnate to destroy his works. However, not knowing this, most people let themselves be led by temptations, doing what the enemy wants, in an affront to the Father. What an important summon the Lord gave to the apostle of the Gentiles!

No one can obtain remission of sins without accepting Jesus into their life. In this act, the individual repents of his iniquities, confesses them, and obtains forgiveness (1 John 1.9). Thus, he leaves the kingdom of darkness and is transported into the Kingdom of the Son of God (Colossians 1.13). Conversion is composed of three steps: 1) receive Jesus as Savior; 2) undergo water baptism, which represents repentance for the remission of sins, and 3) be baptized in the Holy Spirit (John 1.12; Act 2.38)!

The verse states that the convert receives an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Christ. This happens without the person realizing it, because they are now living the most exciting time of their life. Now, to be saved means to change lord, who, until then, was the devil, who treated everyone with the torture whip, punishing them without knowing the reason. With Jesus, things are completely opposite. God is good!

This is why believers are always joyful, going to God’s house with great delight and never getting involved in cheating and other sins. The best thing that can happen to you is to be saved. Then the devil loses control over your life. Be free in Jesus!

In Christ, with love,

Lord of the remission of sins! It is beautiful to take the steps that lead us to live free from the devil. Without a doubt, we don't want to go back to the past, because being in You is more than wonderful. Thank You for loving us and delivering us from the evil empire.

Before, we had no peace and no security, because we lived far from You and Your love. The peace that we now feel is the most special and excellent that we can enjoy on Earth. It fills us with emotion and gratitude.

We left the devil's domain and have become beloved children in Christ. The new life cannot even be compared with the old life of sorrow and frustrations. Now, we have the remission of the mistakes of the past and inheritance among the sanctified. Amen!
