It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.  Isaiah 65.24

Under the New Covenant, which is based on superior promises, there are many advantages in which the so-called “heroes of faith” did not participate. In fact, they were enlightened by the Lord, walked in the light of his face, and accomplished many things. However, many times only with great sacrifices and hard battles they were able to please God and have their requests fulfilled. But the price they paid no longer exists for us.

Under the New Covenant all we need to do to receive God’s answer is believe. The best example is the one given by Jesus. As the New Path’s forerunner, he was discredited for being a friend of tax collectors and sinners, but one of the things that most call our attention was the fact that he taught that religious practices do not set God’s power in motion; instead, it is the fact that we love him and keep his commands.

When you understand the Word, you do not need to pray for promises to be fulfilled; it is enough to agree with that which has been spoken to you and to take possession of these promises, believing that they will be fulfilled. When God reveals us something, he is doing or has already done it, so by following his instructions we can lead his work to completion. There is no way the Almighty God will fail to bless a person who has proven their love for him even before entering into a battle through prayer. In Christ, everything is ours.

Before you pray, the Lord has already promised to answer the prayers of those who have faith in Jesus. As a matter of fact, we are no strangers to the New Covenant; rather, we are part of it. Now we must take possession of that which we need – or will need – immediately when we understand from the Word of God what has been given to us. Then we must thank God for the blessing, even if some symptoms are persistent in showing that nothing has happened. He who believes leads God’s work to completion.

When we open our hearts to the Father about something that we need, he will hear us while we are still speaking, and by the time we finish praying he will have already answered it. It is a great privilege to receive the understanding that we belong to the Lord and about the blessings we can receive from him. Salvation is the greatest gift man can receive from God. In order to obtain it, all we need to do is believe, and the same is valid for “smaller” gifts.

We must not waste blessings by thinking that we will not manage to set God’s power in motion on our behalf, after all, that is a mission of the Lord’s angels. Therefore, we do not need to ask for such interventions, but rather believe in God’s promises, and ordain that they are fulfilled. When we give voice to the Word of God, the Lord’s precious ministers move into action to carry out his work.

Do not fail to take possession of that which already belongs to you; otherwise, you may be rebuked by God, like Joshua was. When Joshua was getting old, he heard from the Lord that there was a lot of land yet to be conquered. When you feel that something belongs to you, take possession of it right way! Then, even before you call the Father, he will have already answered you. These instructions come straight from the Lord God.
