 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. John 12.46

God’s greatest purpose in saving mankind is to take them away from eternal damnation, delivering them from the madness of forever being in the lake of fire, burning day and night, along with the devil and his demons. The Lord’s love for man is so wonderful that He gave His only Son to fulfill His redemption plan, and with Him He also gave us all things (Romans 8.32). Woe to the soul that refuses the Most High’s offer!

We must have the wisdom to preach the Gospel to every creature, since there is an inbuilt repulsion within man that comes from the wicked kingdom which makes him repel the attempts to open his eyes. The devil makes people unwilling to live next to God, for he wants the human race in torment along with him. We have to improve in the art of announcing the salvation provided by Jesus, because the future of billions of people depends on it!

Besides the process of salvation fully accomplished by Christ in His death, with nothing lacking for all to return to the Father’s House, there are also countless blessings, of which we hear little, prepared for those who have been called by the Lord and are born again. Therefore, we need to know about them in order to teach them to those we evangelize. If they begin to enjoy them, they will feel happier in their new faith.

One of the reasons to believe in Jesus is not to remain in darkness. After all, He is the Light of the world (John 8.12). Amazingly, many Christians do not take advantage of this facility that God provides them in their faith in Christ, and therefore do not enjoy the abundant life. Now, without the Lord, who came into the world to enlighten us, we are not able to make the decisions that can free us from evil. So let us make use of this great blessing.

There is no difference among the people who believe in Jesus (Romans 2.11), for He Himself helps them to remain in the Light. Now, this is not something that only a brilliant mind can enjoy. Even those who have difficulty in reasoning can attain it. All it takes is faith in the Word. Whoever believes in the Savior and His work, guiding his life by the Master’s teachings, automatically becomes a winner!

There is no other light or anyone to help us in the affairs of eternal life; only God is capable of doing so. From Him comes the inspiration and the expertise that men need to carry out the mission to which they have been called. Therefore, no one can rival the eternal Creator, the Source of life, of all good and love. In the Son of the Most High resides the power to deliver us from the extremely dangerous forces of the kingdom of darkness (Luke 10.19)!

When David understood this, he cried out that the Lord was his Light and his Salvation, and asked a question: Whom shall I fear? (Psalms 27.1). Fear is one of the greatest threats used by the king of hell to oppress and enslave human beings. But the Word of God says: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1.7).
