Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him”. John 9:3

How much glory that should have been given to the Lord have we hindered? And how many millions of people have not converted because the church does not fill its appropriate place? Due to this, the devil has operated not only in midst of unbelievers, but also among the saved. The result is a people that calls itself God’s property, but is filled with sadness and problems, and in many cases, acting like the wicked.

Since the Old Testament, the Most High asked if there was anything too difficult for Him, but the people at that time did not give Him an answer. Nowadays, some have tried to receive the divine works. However, since they are not in the Way that leads to the Father, they attain nothing. Thus, they see their children and relatives in suffering and exhaustion, when they should be doing prayers of thanksgiving to God for His work on their behalf.

Where are the incontestable wonders that the Lord accomplished through Jesus and the apostles? Our God remains the same, but humanity has worsened. The Master warned that nothing that comes from the flesh and desires of man serves for anything (John 6:63). We cannot reduce our worship to the heavenly Father to something cold, meaningless, and in many cases, a true confession of defeat. We must come back to the example left by Christ in order to please the Almighty.

Scriptures warn us that without holiness no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). Certainly, this passage concerns the return of the Savior. However, without changing this revelation, we can say that this refers to our days as well. Christ promised that He would be with us until the end of times (Matthew 28:20); yet we live as if we do not know Him and what He can do for us, though we say that He is in our midst. Where there is truth, there is deliverance!

We must not focus our attention in the miracle, but in the One who will attend and honor us every time we are following the Lord’s directions. The best about life is to walk with God, obey His Word, and fulfill His commandments. If we do so, we will give Him the conditions to love us like Jesus loved His disciples until the end. He will not stop loving His own people – not now or even when they become old – if they follow and keep His commandments (John 14:21).

If Christ were in our midst today, would He allow the blind to continue blind and those with physical problems to remain with them? Or would He end all kinds of suffering? Certainly, Jesus expects us to do the same works that He did (John 14:12), but if we remain in the flesh, fascinated by gold, worried about our future and the future of our children, and desiring other things, we will receive nothing from God. Have mercy, Lord!

There are widows like the one in Nain – waiting for the followers of Jesus to find them and bring their children back to life. What are we doing with the power of the Holy Spirit that was given to us? We speak in tongues, but we do not imitate the Lord in the examples that He gave us? Are we going to set free those who are addicted to drugs, those that are blind, deaf, lame, and those who deny their nature?

In Christ, with love,

Lord of great wonders! For some people it seems like You have been reduced to a historic quotation, which does not fulfill people’s hunger for the Truth anymore. Thus, some people seem to walk far away from You, for they do not see You operating any longer. Now, the error is not in You.

Why don’t we live more at Your feet, seeking You as Jesus taught us? Help Your church to pray as it should, to speak of You as it should, and to serve You as You have ordered. The world needs to know You as You are. You are beautiful in elevation (Psalm 48:2)!

Why don´t we accomplish more if You are the same? Now, someone must raise a banner of Your wonders and prove that You desire to carry out wonders in our days, in which everyone is confused, without knowing the future of humanity. Father! Help us to serve You!
