Therefore behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know My hand and My might; And they shall know that My name is the Lord. Jeremiah 16: 21

Jeremiah was used to warn the Israelites of the impending Babylonian captivity and gave details of what 70 years would be like in that nation. After this period, they would be led to the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants. As we study such prophecies, we see the fulfillment of Jeremiah’s words, and some relate to us, because we have been delivered from a worse bondage – the spiritual. We have much to learn from it.

Today, those who want to know what they can receive from the Lord should read the Bible without prejudice. The Word of God speaks in the present day as it has spoken in the past through the prophets and through Jesus. In understanding the divine will, pray and take possession of it. There is much prepared for those who accept Jesus as Savior. Therefore, meditate on the Bible and, when you understand it, believe in its promises. God leads us this way.

Invest your time in the world knowing the hand and power of God in order to know that His Name is Lord. There are tremendous things waiting for you, which will complete you. So, never back away, do not doubt the love of the Most High for you or say that faith does not work. The remnants of the kingdom of David preferred to believe in man-made gods, thus, they were led into captivity and they stayed there for seven decades.

The day of the return of the Israelites to their home had arrived, because the divine hand had worked in their favor. The sons of Jacob could not imagine how much they would suffer in Babylon in the hands of Nebuchadnezzar, other kings and later empires. The promise to return to Canaan was real and fulfilled in full. This promise concerns those who believe in the Truth. Enjoy and get to know it!

In Jesus’ days, this hand had so much power that God’s little finger made Him free people from the devil, heal the sick – give sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf, and ability for the crippled to walk – and also make the dead come back to life. You can´t even imagine what He can do in your favor. Today is the day for you to get to know this power, with which you can do the same works performed by Christ in His earthly ministry.

When seeing Him do wonders, the people knew that His Name is Lord over the forces of nature, evil, and death itself. Even though He is the Almighty, He loves us and wants to use us just as He used His servants of the past. Find out who you are in Christ and you will succeed.

Let the Most High show you His power. Then you will be surprised and truly become the person He has planned for you to be. Assume now your authority over the devil in order to assert your rights in the faith in Christ. This way, the infernal forces will no longer dominate you nor cause you to suffer.
