He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. 1 Kings 11:3

Why did Solomon have 700 wives and 300 concubines, if one woman is enough for one man? Are there other people with this kind of problem? What causes someone to act this way? The desire to be known as the most virile of all? Do some people really have this need? Judging is difficult for any mortal because we do not see as God sees. Only the Lord will judge us according to righteousness and if our motive is evil – there will be condemnation (Romans 2:16)!

In those days, many Israelites also overreacted to the king’s behavior. The bad example of the leader leads the weak to repeat his actions, but if he is a Christian, the danger is greater, because the brothers who are unstable in the faith will also imitate him. Why do some Christians wrongly when the Word says: I said in my heart, ‘God shall judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work’ (Ecclesiastes 3:17)? Be vigilant!

People who think they are special, behave badly in business, cheat on their spouse, thinking that such actions will remain hidden before the Judge on the Last Day – are mistaken, for He has said that He will not allow harm to His children: And if you sell anything to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor’s hand, you shall not oppress one another (Leviticus 25:14). The Bible says: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31).

The unfaithful will be judged by the Lord´s Word: That no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified (1 Thessalonians 4:6). Any teaching that contradicts Scripture proceeds from the kingdom of darkness and should never be accepted (Isaiah 8:20).

When a person enters the world of lust, either by committing adultery or by defiling his marriage bed, he falls into sinful excesses and does not see that the world and its practices lie in the evil one. Now, the Bible clearly states: “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him (1 John 2:15). Acting according to God’s direction is the only way to please Him and to free ourselves from eternal punishment! Pray!

Still on the subject of marriage, we see that only those who respect the Lord are worthy before Him: Marriage is honorable among all; and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge (Hebrews 13:4). If we know this, why don’t we live blamelessly? Do we really believe that God is the Truth or do we take think of Him as a liar? Mercy! Get right with Him while there is still time.

The prophet Daniel saw how the eternal Judgment will be and described it: A river of fire flowed and came forth from before him; thousands of thousands served him, and millions of millions stood before him; the judgment sat, and the books were opened (Daniel 7:10). We know that our works will pass through the fire (1 Corinthians 3:12-15). We will be judged according to the 66 books of the Bible!

In Christ, with love,

Father of purity and love! There is no trading our salvation for a handful of filthy things done in the name of love, for You alone are love. We can only act within the boundaries of the Word, and that comforts us!

We want Your purity in everything, so that our children will not be wicked, but holy and perfect in You. Do not let us be deceived, because as Your servants, we will live honorably, since You dwell in our hearts.

Give us of Your essence, Your purity and Your love. Thus, we will not fall into the traps of demons. Only the holy will dwell in Your house. Therefore, we ask for grace and mercy to live according to Your revelations. We desire to be happy and fulfilled within biblical boundaries. Help us!
