David was one of the greatest servants of God in Israel and he who won wars and rendered the Lord true praise. This king spoke of the Most High as his strength and glory. After all, these two virtues belong to God, which lead us to success. If He does not watch the city, the enemy will cause a disaster of astronomical proportions in your life. Be aware!
After a great victory, a great defeat can happen, if God is not glorified. We are so foolish that we proclaim feats as if we were the authors of such! The success we have achieved comes from on High, never from our abilities. When we confess the authorship of what we do, we steal the glory from the One who is the true accomplisher – the Master.
Why lie? When we feel weak, we normally ask for divine help and, after seeing things accomplished, we forget the request we made to the Lord and believe that we are the best. We need to acknowledge God for His favor; after all, we cried out to Him.
We must be careful, or the enemy will cause us to steal the glory of the Most High. Our part in the divine operation is to believe – a fundamental act for God to answer us. He who believes will see the glory of the Lord (John 11:40), but he who does not believe never sees anything. This note is mine, just to you explain the obvious. It is good to acknowledge these wonderful attributes to your heavenly Father.
The person who does not recognize the Lord in his ways lives a troubled life. But anyone who recognizes that God is their Helper has Him by their side in battles. Watch out! To deny the authorship of the good you received will make you responsible for the failures. Never steal the greatness from the Almighty! On the contrary, be thankful. During your existence on Earth, you will endure many afflictions, thus, you will need Heaven’s help.
One of the biggest errors seen in the Old Testament was made by Jeroboam. The Lord was saddened by the behavior of Solomon, son of David, to whom He gave wisdom that no one else received. This extremely wise man had the most women – 700 wives and 300 concubines. At the end of his life, he relized that they had perverted his heart, turning him into an idolater.
The Lord tore David’s kingdom when Rehoboam succeeded Solomon on the throne and gave 10 of the 12 tribes to Jeroboam, who formed the northern kingdom, of Samaria. But he did not stay alert: he made two golden calves and told his countrymen that these were the gods who had brought them out of Egypt (1 Kings 12: 27-33). Such a mistake cost him a high price, and his people disappeared into history. The same will happen with those who are evil in the eyes of the Lord. Take care and live!

Lord! You are everything men needs. You make victorious those who are grateful for Your works and You work for your faithful servants. Only You are worthy of praise!
You are the God who loves everyone, but you will make perish in the lake of fire and brimstone all those who are proud and whoever denies You the honor for Your deeds, because that is to contribute so that the devil can accomplish his work on Earth.
You spoke twice about giving You strength and glory. You are the One who can help us when Hell charges against us to defeat us. Thank You for always guaranteeing us victory!
