And Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.  1 Samuel 2:1

Hannah´s song, servant of God, shows us several lessons. Though barren, she was sure the Lord could open her womb, but it did not. One day, while praying, she was mistaken by priest Eli as a drunkard. Ana explained the fight she was having, and he blessed her. So she conceived and gave birth to Samuel. She had promised that when she had her son and weaned him, she would deliver him to be raised in God’s house and to serve the Most High.

We do not know when the boy was weaned because many women breastfeed for years. But the day came, and Ana kept her promise by giving her son to Eli. This proves she was determined. Probably this led her to pray, for the Law said there would be no barren (Ex 23:26). To pray is to confirm and claim what God says!

At the time of the boy’s giving, the Spirit of God inspired her to sing a song to the God who honored her, saying, “My heart rejoices in the Lord.” Ana could only have said a thank you, but she showed the joy inside that she was met in her need. She knew that she was raised as a woman to bear children, God’s inheritance. His struggle and recognition pleased the Creator.

Hannah summed up the events of her life, saying that the Lord strengthened her. Each time you are blessed you will feel that your power has been exalted in God. Many are unaware that they have the ability to say no to enemy attacks but to the good things in life. By accepting to be barren, Ana could not get pregnant, but she was strengthened with the blessing of the priest Eli. Fortify your power!

Until you win, the frustration that keeps you from being the same as any other will continue to overwhelm your being, driving your self-esteem down, and nothing good will happen to you. Accept the fact that God is no respecter of people. He created us to be victorious. No one has come into the world to be a failure. We need to awaken our gifts and talents.

By overcoming obstacles, which can be small or large, you will find that you have the answer for your enemies. The Lord’s blessing is the best thing that can come to you, as it will not only make you happy, but will also give you a chance to refute those who mock your “bad luck.” Now we have equal rights to those which God declares in His Word. Therefore, we must never accept that there is any difference for less in our lives. Reach your measure!
