19/03/2018 - REST AND WAIT IN THE LORD

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Psalm 37:7

Can it be that to rest in the Lord is to go off to a quiet, peaceful and cozy place, like a SPA or a good hotel and lock yourself in?  Certainly not! Resting in the Lord is something very active. Those who interact with the Father, are removed from evil things and by keeping busy with the Redeemer, do not even notice time go by. Besides, no matter how much the world tries to disturb them, they will not even take notice.

To rest in the Omniscient is to have communion with Him in the Holy Spirit, speaking in other tongues and carrying out the assigned mission.  There is no greater tranquility than to be involved interactively with Him who is our Peace.  The Omnipotent ordered the Israelites to rest, saying that this was to restore them, but they heard Him not.  

When we preach the Good Gospel, those who believe receive the blessing and the benefit.  One of the errors of Job’s friends was to not give water to the tired – a message from the Word to those who could no longer stand the trials – and have retained the Bread of life from him who was almost lifeless, from hungering for  the Truth. Jesus called unto himself all those who were weary and oppressed and He would give them relief.  We should read this message to all humanity.

He who is oppressed by the powers of darkness, exhausted from battle and seeing no improvement, has in his favor the affirmation that the eternal Creator is never weary.  For this reason, we may and must also live in the same way while our days on Earth last.  According to Jesus, we can do the same things that He did.  Victory is assured!

Isaiah said that the Almighty restores the weary.  Of course He does this through us.  But if we do not believe or exert our spiritual authority, nothing will be accomplished.  Even the youthful can be exhausted and fall.  But those that wait in the Lord will renew their strengths.  The Scriptures are riddled with promises of what the Almighty is capable of doing – for us and through us – for those who lack strength.  We only have to believe and exert our rights!

How we have been remiss with the fearful and weary and worn out to continue the battle in faith!  The ministering of the Word and the prayer of faith will renew and multiply your strengths.  They who wait on the Lord will be renewed and strengthened again to come into His presence at any time needed.

The secret for those who fear the Lord is to rest and wait in Him, never worrying about those who are prospering in their path, in spite of their wicked ways. In other words, be a servant to the Most High always. Amen!
