That You may give him rest from the days of adversity, Until the pit is dug for the wicked. Psalm 94:13

In verse 12 of this same chapter of Psalms, we read that the person rebuked by the Lord is blessed, successful. In fact, the Scriptures show this by saying that He corrects us by treating us as children. If we were bastards, not even unbelievers would scold us. When He calls our attention about something wrong, He wants to rid us of future problems.

The Most High wants all to be saved by deciding to follow Jesus. He knows we will have no other opportunity to repent and escape eternal damnation. Because He is love and longs for our well being, He instructs us directly or through someone. Fools refuse to accept reproach because they love darkness!

Another amazing feature of God is His patience. By the way, this is the greatest example man can have. The teacher who lets the students do what they want and does not impose respect, certainly was a terrible student then and now as well in the school of the Holy Spirit, as well as those who mistreat the true servants of God. The work is done with and in divine love.

Whoever accepts the rebuke will be set free. But the wicked will engage in the most varied sufferings in the evil days, because they allow themselves to be guided by the enemy. There is nothing sadder than being a slave to the evil man’s proposals. When the devil’s captives are caught in their error, they despair of the shame they have caused themselves or their families. Stay alert and pray!

During tribulation, the weak in faith in Christ will succumb to the tempter’s offerings. Therefore they will become reprehensible, and some will commit terrible sins. But the world expects a different behavior from us. Remember, Jesus said we are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13). He who is not led by the Most High will stumble.

As long as the pit does not open to the wicked, he will continue to tempt us all the time, but this should not be a reason for the Christian to justify his shortcomings. The devil even tempts us, but he can’t force us do his will. The saved has to reject his offerings and devote himself to good works. The power to be free is available to us. Do not give way to Satan.

Those who serve the Lord as Jesus did will be honored because they resisted the temptations that come upon them. So if you don’t want to be condemned, resist the accuser and his traps. Then, on the Great Day, you will be among the guests to take part in the Kingdom of Heaven.

In Christ, with love,

O God! When we are rebuked by You, the qualification of children becomes real in us. Therefore, never stop using it, for we want to live in Your beloved presence.

Why reject Your correction if we will be blessed with it? We accept Your actions, even if they sadden us for a while. Your love is all we need.

Teach us Your Law for us to be wise. Open our eyes to see things as they are, not as the evil one shows them. As long as the pit has not been opened for the wicked, we will have problems, but with Your light we will live freely.
