Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; Incline Your ear to me, and save me.  Psalm 71.2

Those who obtain deliverance in the Lord´s righteousness never go through shame. Even if they have exceeded when they obeyed the demon, divine grace gives them a worthy condition of never again feeling disabled to do what the Most High orders. This righteousness is greater than all their transgressions; therefore, you can receive forgiveness and act as if you had never sinned. 

Every work done in the righteousness of God does not need to receive extras or be improved. You must know that you will displease the Lord if you allow the demon to give his ideas. Whatever sin you might have committed that caused you to be under the rule of the enemy, it must be confessed. Thus, you will be acquitted by the Most High and you will not give the slightest importance to the condemnation enforced by the devil.  

Besides asking for your deliverance, do something extra: ask Him to give you a way out. When they came out of Egypt, the Israelites no longer heard the language of that nation and no longer had the Egyptian whip on their back, but they had the spice in their memories. Therefore, many times, they missed the garlic, the onions and other seasonings that they used then. Don’t let your old self cause you to miss captivity. 

The memory in the days of adultery and prostitution can make you turn back to those old habits. Even if you don’t assume that publicly, such memories can be used in your intimate moment to spice you, and thus, lead you back to the clutches of the devil. However, with the Lord acting in your favor, according to His righteousness you will not be ruled by this wicked being. 

Everybody needs to be forgiven so that they can escape from the one who ruled them in error. However, if they don’t cry out for God to do this and listen what is in their hearts, they will continue to be tormented by the lapses of the past. Now, the work of the Lord it full for those who follow the process of repentance written in the Bible. 

When you ask something to the Father, do it with all your heart and trust that He has already answered you, though the symptoms or temptations remains for days on end. For you to receive relief of pain or even the restoration of the soul, the trust in the Lord is fundamental. Those who don’t believe in what the Word says prove they don’t believe in the Almighty God. Your deliverance must be radical and complete. 

After tasting forgiveness and the redemption of the Lord, make Him your strong Habitation. Even if the evil one attacks you with all his strength in order to make you go back to his nest, if you are in the Lord, you will not be moved an inch towards the devil. Those who were delivered by Christ are completely free (John 8:36). Live this freedom!
