who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, Hebrews 5:7

Jesus, even though being a Son of God, made Himself flesh like any man, but without sin (John 1:14). However, He did not boast for being like  the Father.  The Master set an example in everything to obey and carry out divine will without any fault. There is no way for Christians to be defeated, because being in Christ, all have the capabilities and condition to do the same works which He did (John 14:12).

Christ knew why the Almighty had sent Him into the world: to carry out the plan of the Father, experiencing physical and spiritual death.  In the spiritual, the separation from God, He suffered when our sins were placed on Him, for which the Savior cried out: My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? (Matthew27:46). We notice then, that the laws of the Heavens are inflexible, for the Almighty did not spare His own Son, but He did honor Him.

During that brief and momentary separation from the Father, Jesus died physically, descended into Hell, fought Satan and his demons and was victorious (Ephesians 4:9,10).  Christ stripped the forces of evil of the authority that they had stolen from man (Colossians 2:15). The Holy Spirit went to Hell and gave Him life again, and the Father declared Jesus to be His beloved Son, saying: “Today I have begotten You” (Hebrews 1:5b). The Redeemer was the Firstborn among the dead.  Through and by Him all believers are made to be sons and daughters of God (John 1:12).

Knowing that on His death He could be contaminated by  the nature of the devil, Jesus offered up prayers and supplication to the Father to be delivered from this corruption and He was heard (Hebrews 5:7). If you know that some evil will lead you to death, study what Christ did and repeat His attitude, for if He was listened to and heard in what He feared, so will you.  Cry out for divine rescue!

If we are attacked by any scheme or work of the devil, such as an incurable disease, a forbidden passion, as we cry out to the Father, with tears we will be heard.  The Almighty has no favorites, but, for our rights to be made reality, we have to act like Jesus did.  He was not moaning and groaning, but He did cry out with prayers and supplications.

To be heard by the Lord, do not pray in any which way or fashion, such as watered down with sugar or memorized without feeling, expecting your problem to be solved.  If you really want to be delivered from the forces of evil, you have to pray like Jesus.  The Master did not take any chances, but yes He did what was correct.

Just like Christ was delivered, so will you be.  Therefore, begin to take your happiness here on earth seriously, just like the happiness you will have in Heaven.  Offer prayers with great cries and tears! Certainly you will be heard in full for what you fear.  In the Lord, there is abundant power, love and mercy

In Christ, with Love,

God who hears and answers great prayers and supplications! You answer us readily, but we have to do our share for You to act in our favor.  We are thankful for all that You show us in Your Sacred Book.

During our brief journey through this world, many times we come up against the works of the enemy that will shorten the number of our days, if You do not rescue us.  However, we learn that Your work is only done as You teach us!

You can do all things, for you are complete, pure and loving.  Teach us to carry out Your will; this way, we will give You the pleasure of seeing Your sons and daughters walking in Truth and in the right path.  Amen!
