04/04/2021 - THE ATTITUDE OF THE WICKED IN ADVERSITY

But in my adversity they rejoiced and gathered together; attackers gathered against me, and I did not know it; they tore at me and did not cease; Psalms 35:15

The wicked will never be friends with anyone. If you’re doing well, they envy you. There is not a single moment when they are thankful to God that you are blessed. They want to keep being defeated while they raise false testimonies about you. These miserable people mock everyone. We don’t need to ask them for prayers, for they’ll never help us.

If you prosper, they doubt your suitability. Your life doesn’t matter at all to them. In case you die or disappear, it won’t make the slightest difference. Those who have that kind of attitude don’t help even those they consider to be their friends. If you have problems, they will tell everyone. People who’re like that have an evil nature. Walk away from them!

There are turbulent times when we can’t stop to rest our minds. If we depend on these evil people, nothing good will happen to us. However, servants of God won’t lack anything, because even in tribulation, the Almighty God opens nonexistent doors and closes doors the enemy wants to use to attack them. Believe in the Lord!

Never waste time trying to align yourself with those who have an evil nature, because they’ll only become your “friend” if they can benefit from something you have. This is how the Word of God describes a faithful friend: A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity (Proverbs 17:17). For that reason, people who have an evil character don’t have any friends – they don’t love at all times. Jesus is our faithful friend!

There certainly are good friends. However, the Bible speaks of the Lord as the One who is closer than a brother: A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). Why should we look for individuals who make mistakes and do not honor their word, if the Lord is our strong God and infallible friend?

Those who place their trust in men regret their decision, but Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever (Psalm 125:1). We can overcome any obstacles with faith in our Savior. Using His name, we will undo the plans of Satan. In Christ, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Heavens rejoice when we take hold of our position in the Son of God.

Evil people are joyful when we’re struggling, but good people pray for us. Do your best for those who trust in you, praying and blessing them, without ever turning your back against those who seek you in adversity. Overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21).

In Christ, with love,

Dr. Soares

God above all! Thank You for loving us and being our Friend, for that makes us rejoice. Even if we are forsaken, we can count on Your help. With You we will lack nothing!

Your Word comforts us and leads us to trust more and more in You. We don’t want to give the enemy dominion over our adversity. That’s why we seek You in prayer to receive guidance. Our faith is in You. Help us!

It doesn’t matter if evil people mock us and join themselves against us. If we still don’t have faith to move mountains with our own words, we confess that we believe in You and we will obtain victory in the name of Jesus!
