13/03/2019 - THE BEHAVIOR THE CHRISTIAN MUST HAVE

You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe; 1 Thessalonians 2:10

There is a correct way for the Christian to behave before the saved and those who still don´t know of the Word: avoid scandal. It is sad to hear that one has shamed the holy work of the Lord, His Church. We were entrusted to believe and live in the Almighty. So why dishonor Him by doing that which is forbidden, and not what He has determined as our mission?

Those who are on the Path with us deserve greater respect, because they are members of the Body of Christ just like we are. If we preach the faith in Jesus but do not live, what example will we give them? Many will be shocked at hearing us speak positively, but at odds with our preaching. The Master taught us to live before God and the world; therefore, we must act so that all people may glorify the Father.

Our conduct must always be straight. Otherwise, we will serve the devil and not the Most High. All our actions must be carried out in Christ so that we are not responsible for anyone´s misconduct. The holy behavior glorifies the Lord. Thus, evil does not get a loophole in us. God cannot take responsibility for the acts of those who give themselves to the enemy, even if that person guarantees to be a servant of the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Holy Scripture warns us: to have different measures and two different weights displeases the Most High (Deuteronomy 25: 13-16). Therefore, if we know how to do good, why don´t we do it (James 4:17)? Why take pleasure in sin, if such leaves you vulnerable to the realm of evil? Now he who sows good seed will reap good fruit, but he who sows evil will see the bad fruits fill his barn. Remain steadfast to the Master’s work!

The ideal is for the man of God to be irreproachable, not letting the father of lies accuse him of misdeeds, for that distances him from the Creator. It is good for us to keep watch over our deeds so that none of them have the appearance of evil. If the weak feel that bad things happen in the life of a holy man, they will give in to iniquity.

Even the wicked must have a good opinion about us. After all, we serve the Lord of holiness, who has rescued us and wants to save them too. Days go by, trials come our way, and temptations are set up by the enemy, for us to be spiritually disqualified. However, like Joseph of Egypt, we must resist them because they make us transgress.

One falter in the faith smirches the holy walk we began by accepting Jesus as Savior. This trajectory will only finish when His return or when we die. Do not get lost after you have overcome so many trials and don´t sell yourself to the devil, for it is best to be a servant of the Almighty. He will not allow temptation beyond your strength to come against you (1 Corinthians 10:13)!

In Christ, with love,

God, our faithful Witness! How could we forget of Your warnings about living in the presence of all - lost or saved? If we are accused of not behaving well, speak of what You have seen in us.

By obeying Your Word, we will never cause scandal. Thus, we will please You. We need You to teach us to live in a holy, pure way, without there being a single decision, word or act that scandalizes the newcomers to Your Kingdom.

We must have one weight and one measure, renouncing the deceitfulness of riches, the cares of this world and the desires for other things. If we disappoint someone, we will be penalized in the Judgment. Help us to live in holiness. Amen!!
