01/05/2017 - THE BLESSING OF OFFERING

There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. Proverbs 11:24

The devil has made various sons of God be stingy when it comes to offering time.  Consequently, by this senseless act, they become surrounded by desires and frustrations; full of debts, late and overdue payments and many other needs.  If the saved learned how to tithe – ten percent of what they earn – they would be blessed with a greater supply than they have received.  Those who do not believe in “give and it shall be given you (Luke 6:38a) live below the line of prosperity.

We want to learn to sow the seed of God everywhere, because it seems the dictatorship of the kingdom of darkness has been acting up among those that apparently are dedicated to practicing good deeds.  What the lost most hate to hear is about the commitment of the saved with the works of the Lord.  The devil, knowing that the church with more resources will not shrink from any effort to take the message of the Gospel to the farthest lands of the earth, spreads the idea that it is wrong to offer to God.

It is in spreading that we gather, and because of this we need directions from Heaven in order not to diminish the revelation, leading us to such losses that have consequences in all areas of our lives and that of others.  Jesus said that more would be given to those that give and retribution would come in “good measure pressed down, and shaken together and running over”(Luke 6:38)  Those that follow the Holy Scriptures about tithing and offerings discover that nothing is lacking and they enjoy abundance.

According to Jesus, the retribution to those who leave everything for love of Him and the Gospel will be astounding, to the point of that person receiving 30, 60 and 100 times more than what was “lost” due to the Word (Mark 4:20)  The attitudes, however, of many towards monetary giving and offerings show that they do not believe in God.  It is necessary to learn what the Bible says and promises to those who comply with what was given them, since they will always have more.

We have to move into the times of increase and not of scarcity; of sowing to reap, and to not hold back and suffer lack; to believe in big moves and not to refuse to believe and see the enemy’s power invading our lives.  He who walks with God must never ever fear practicing the lessons that he learns from the Holy Book, because by obeying the commands, the Lord will fulfill and deliver His promises.  He who offers receives much more than he gave and thus enjoys abundance.

Why not sow and apply correctly what God has given you?  Why not use the boldness and courage He has clothed you with and the holiness he has given  you from Himself?  Certainly He wants to bless you with increased return.  The reward will be greater than your act of faith; however, if the person returns the tithe with grief and sadness this is not from the Lord, which is the supplier of all needs. Mercy!

To save and to keep what is necessary is prudent and wise, but to save and keep more than is right is foolish and indecent.  Be a sower of good seed, showing the plan of God to the lost.  Never leave the Most High behind, since He wants to be your faithful companion, leading you to taste and enjoy from His best.  To obey is the only way!
