According to Jesus, to truly love has to be followed by a prerogative: to keep His commandments. The Master said, He who has My commandments, and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and manifest Myself to him (John 14.21). Some say that they love Him from the heart, but reality proves otherwise; their actions do not match the precepts left by the Lord!
In previous studies, we have seen that we deceive someone when we declare that we love him and do not help him in his needs. Now, it is not good to leave him without the help that would lessen his suffering. Those who love, help those in need; on the other hand, those who are able to help, but don’t, sin. As the Bible states, liars will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Revelation 21.8).
The Father’s care is affectionate toward the son who neglects or forgets his duty. The Lord has provided everything for us to be happy and successful. To do this, we have to do our part: take possession of the blessing. In the Word, there is everything we need to use as proof of our love for the Creator, and an example of this is when we forsake sin and keep the divine commandments. God has done the complete work, in order for you to be healed, prosperous and sanctified. Believe and live!
The Lord does not accept words of “love’, which, over and over again, many people often speak with, but their hearts is far from such truth. How can anyone think of deceiving the Most High, if He already knows what we will speak before the word reaches our tongue? The Father understands even the intentions of the heart, so always be true to Him, or you will continue to speak things that even He won’t listen to. You build up or destroy yourself because of works and words!
To love by works is an obligation of those born in the Kingdom of God; after all, they have been blessed and elected children of the Light. It is incomprehensible to see people not caring about those who have no discernment of sin. These lost ones live in the gutters, sharing bread with rats and other filthy harmful animals. They have not had our good fortune to know the Lord, so they live on the margins of society. We must go to them to proclaim the Word and do the necessary work!
To love in truth is what the Lord expects of us. We don’t have to simply share our bread with the poor, but also tell them about the sacrifice of Jesus on behalf of mankind while He lived here, making the real thief that oppressed them manifest and be cast out. The lost need to have their minds free from negative teachings coming from all sides. Then they will achieve the dignity of living without bitterness. We must show them the Solution – Jesus!
Run away from personal interest in someone. Help them without accepting a hug, for example. Explain that you are doing good because Jesus told you to. Then they will listen to the Good News. Now, faith comes by hearing the Word. Then, upon receiving real faith, everyone will bend before the Truth and be set free by it (John 8.32). God is good!
In Christ, with love,

Lord of the great commandment! It is a pleasure to serve You, to walk in Your commandments and do Your work, which meets the needs of the people. We cannot let the enemy deceive us with social policies, but do good as Jesus did.
The needy are everywhere, and many times, some of them have even excellent financial conditions, but there is nothing special about them, because they don't know the Word. When their conscience cries out, showing that they don't know You, they make a donation to charity and believe that this is sufficient!
We must go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. Thus, everyone will feel loved and reach salvation. Father, with You we are never sad or desperate without knowing where we are going. Your Path is pure and safe. Guide us!
