After two days He will revive us;On the third day He will raise us up,That we may live in His sight. Hosea 6:2

Hosea was the last prophet of the Kingdom of the North, nation that kept the name of Israel. After conveying the message of the Lord, which would tear that region apart, he was used by God to deliver a message that was fulfilled with the death and resurrection of Jesus, when He stripped the devil of the power stolen from man. The enemy oppressed mankind, but now, when we accept Christ as Savior, we are delivered from the yoke of the curse and become God’s people for all eternity, free from all evil.

The work carried out by the Son of God in His death must be studied with the help of the Holy Spirit. When we come to understand it, we will take possession of our inheritance. Christ was shamed on the cross and, while He received the sins and diseases of mankind, He was forsaken by the Father, who turned His back on Him (Matthew 27:46). He died and went down to Hell by Himself to finish His mission. There, He completed the plan of redemption (Revelation 1:18).

The prophecy declares that after two days, He would give us life. This occurred when He stripped Satan of all ability to touch our lives. Anyone who comes to know the deeds of Christ upon His death and believes in them can order the sad ones of Zion to be given beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, in order to become the planting of the Lord, trees of righteousness (Isaiah 61: 3).

This understanding will make God be glorified, but not by mere repetitions of “glories to God” and “halleluiahs.” He doesn’t accept sacrifices of any kind anymore, except those of righteousness, in the Name of Jesus. One must stop looking at the natural things, which apparently cannot be reversed, and look only to Jesus. After all, when He resurrected, He also raised us up!

Christ has given us life and everything that concerns it (John 10: 10b). With this understanding in mind, everyone has the right to command changes in their lives and be freed from all wicked influences. Satan and his demons can no longer dominate you, for Jesus has assured you salvation. Do not accept any kind of oppression on you and yours, for you and your household will be saved (Acts 16:31).

Once He resurrected, Jesus defeated and left in Hell Satan and his demons, for all eternity. The victory of the Lord is eternal. You just have to believe in it and live that freedom, commanding all evil to be destroyed. You are more than a conqueror in Christ (Rom. 8:37)  and more than blessed – you are a child of God and lord over your life.

The great message is that, on leaving the tomb, Christ has begotten us again to a living hope (1 Peter 1:3). This blessing is available to you now. Once you believe, you will become the person the Lord had in mind when He suffered in your place. Wake up! You will please God if you simply believe!
