12/09/2023 - THE DEVIL’S ETERNAL MISTAKE

But I was like a docile lamb brought to the slaughter; and I did not know that they had devised schemes against me, saying, “Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be remembered no more.” Jeremiah 11.19

No one should be careless, thinking that the devil no longer wants to destroy them. What we see in Jeremiah’s life is still true for anyone who surrenders to Christ. The evil one doesn’t like to hear about people who have left their sinful life, walked out of the wide gate and entered the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 7.13,14). The prophet was like a meek lamb, which is led to be slaughtered. Now, the enemy will not give up tempting you and making you suffer. Believe in Jesus and get rid of evil now!

Conversion to the Lord frees us from the purposes of the adversary to have us in his clutches. The devil will always seek to take us off the Path, but we need not fear such attacks, because by loving Jesus – having and keeping His commandments – He will also love us. This means that the Lord will fulfill the promises (John 14.21). The devil uses pressure tactics to get us out of what God declares. Stand firm in the faith!

Looking at the testimony of the Most High in His Word is of vital importance, because in it, we have the assurance that a certain promise belongs to us. Many brothers boast of reading five to ten chapters of the Bible a day, but if you ask them what jumped out at them, they will answer that they understood nothing. Now, we must read the Bible quietly, meditating on it, so that the Father may show us His will (Psalm 119.105).

The people of Judah were used by the evil one to pressure Jeremiah, and they would have killed him if the prophet was not under the divine will. No doubt, if it were not for the Lord on his side, they would have done that. When a person is in sin, he cannot bear for anyone to tell him about Jesus, because the evil that dominates him feels threatened and rebels with anger within him. Evangelize in season and out of season and the Most High will give the increase (2 Timothy 4:1,2).

The enemy wants to do with us the same thing. He will try to separate us from the Most High, and if he doesn’t succeed, he will wait for other opportunities that will certainly and unfortunately come. But the saved need to be convinced that the devil’s snares cannot harm them. Just refuse these threats, commanding them to be undone in the Name of the Lord, and go on living as if the enemy doesn’t even exist. Never fear!

The Word warns us: Do not give the devil a place (Ephesians 4.27). Finding a place in us is all the devil desires in order to dominate and destroy us. Be a servant of God at all times, never pushing the Bible confession out of your mouth. When evil appears to oppress your life, you will annihilate it. The enemy cannot take possession of any of the Lord’s children, because the Almighty guards us 24 hours a day. Overcome with goodness!

Hell always makes mistakes, as it did when it thought that Jesus, in His death on the cross, was under its rule. In fact, Christ has taken us out of the devil’s clutches (Colossians 2.15). The Savior stripped Satan and his group of the authority they had stolen from man!

In Christ, with love,

God, our true Protector! As a prophet, Jeremiah compared himself to Jesus, Your Lamb, led to the slaughter. Christ took away the sins of those who existed in His days, of those who were born after His death, and of those who died before He came!

Jeremiah was not yet aware that hell was devising plans against him, as it does against the saved. Father, Satan's mission is to snatch us out of Your hands, so that we will not live happily forever. The devil will suffer eternal punishment!

They wanted to destroy the tree with its fruit. Now, when we accept You, we become Your righteousness. For this, You produce in us a series of virtues known as the fruit of the Spirit. There will be remembrance of us in everything we do by faith in Christ!
