19/06/2018 - THE DIRECTION TO ABANDON ANGUISH

When you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the LORD your God and obey His voice.    Deuteronomy 4:30

God is perfect in loving us. Even if we are unfaithful, He will still be faithful because He cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy 2:13). Therefore, we have the guarantee that we will be delivered from all hardships, because all we need to do is turn to Him and He will hear us. However, if before the Lord finishes His work we feel Him giving us a direction – showing that He is already ahead of us – but we don’t do anything, then His work will be paralyzed. 

Many people forget God and go back to errors. However, later on, they come to their senses, realizing that they made a wrong decision, and so they repent and receive forgiveness (Acts 3:19). Those who went astray can go back to Him again and will find help. However, if you are not taking Him seriously, like some people don´t, you will not find forgiveness. Have mercy!

Humanly speaking, this promise is about the Israelites, whose parents despised Jesus, the Mediator of the New Covenant of God made with them and all of humanity. The tragedy of Israel was despising Jehovah. The Redeemer came for His people, but they turned their back on Him. Nowadays, many people have been healed by Christ but still deny Him. The Master said: But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 10.33).

The end of days will come when we least expect it and when that happens, the Jews will find themselves in a peril. What they have suffered since they strayed from God is nothing compared to what will happen in the future. So then, the promise will be fulfilled: they will turn back to the Lord Jesus, He will hear them and save them. What a blessed day it will be for the seed of Abraham! The chosen people will be delivered of all the enemies and, with faith and love for Christ, will preach the Gospel.

The descendents of Abraham, according to the flesh, will be the ones preaching the Gospel. When the veil is removed and they repent for not having put their faith in the Savior, they will be forgiven and anointed with the power of the Holy Spirit. Then, the world will see the true worshippers of God who will, fearlessly, go to all corners of the world announcing the coming of the King of kings, with undeniable proof. Multitudes will surrender to God.

Now, if you are in anguish, facing battles inside and out, or if you are not fulfilled in life; it’s time for you to come close to God, seeking Him with all of your heart. The Lord is merciful and does not want you to be lost. You are included in His plan of redemption; therefore, make the best decision for your life right now, by surrendering to the One who paid a high price for you (1 Corinthians 6:20). He loves you!

Accept the covenant the Most High made with humanity and, in the same moment, go back to Him. The Lord is ready to change you completely. The old things have passed (2 Corinthians 5:17), shame will be replaced with a happy and successful life and you will walk with your head up high, in peace with God.
