For they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.  Mark 6:50

The presence of Christ causes people to be troubled, but the opposite must occur to us. Now, once we believe in Him, we become His children and we must rejoice in His presence. But those who live in sin and know that they will be before the Lord to be judged become distressed when they think about that day. If the lost understood that they could be saved, they would accept Jesus and not be distressed.

God’s love is conditional on your love for him. If you forsake Him, He will forsake you as well; but if you love Him, you will be loved. The Lord has said that whoever forsakes Him shall be lightly esteemed (1 Samuel 2:30). No matter how much you have walked with God; if you forsake Him, if you despise His Word, not fulfilling what you have promised and paying attention to sin, you will live far from Him.

On that day, after the loaves of bread were multiplied, Jesus was going to consecrate Himself to the Father and for some reason did not allow His disciples to stay with Him, forcing them to get on the boat and cross the sea to Bethsaida. The same is true today when the Lord is going to do a special work. If we are not in fellowship with Him, we will not be invited or accepted. God cannot use those who go astray, because this will hinder His work.

Something caused Jesus not to allow His disciples to be part of His meeting with the Father. It is good to always be prepared to go with the Lord wherever He goes, to take part in the battle that He partakes, and do the same works that He does. He who is not ready and does not have the structure for this, is also not ready to go to Heaven. Examine yourself and see if you have stood firm in the faith and get things right with God!

We should be very well with the Most High. Thus, He would invite us to meet Him constantly. Then, in prayer, we would open our hearts and receive good and pleasant directions on our part in the ministry. We do not have to be fanatics, living out of reality, but holy in our way of living. This way, we will walk with the Lord and obey His commands. Walk with Him!

The disciples thought the Master was a ghost. Now, only immature people think this way. If they were firm in the faith, they would see with joy that the figure walking on the waters was that of the Savior. The state of our soul reflects our vision of the Lord. He is good to the pure of heart, but unyielding toward those who do not live His pleasing, good and perfect will. What kind of person have you been?

The Lord only wants to help you, encourage you and make you successful in all things. Therefore believe the promises He has for you and despise the lies of the devil. The Most High wants you to be of good cheer and do not fear, for it is He who speaks to you. Examine your life and become righteous in the faith.

In Christ, with love,

God that speaks to Your children! It is such a joy to be a part of Your people, to live within the limits of the Scriptures, in communion with You. We must be of good cheer, for there is no denying the Word that came out of Your mouth!

We do not want to miss any encounter with You. So now, come with Your hand upon us and deliver us from any influence of the enemy. We want to walk in the Truth. May we never lack Your mercy, for we belong to You!

We have accepted the offer which You made to the disciples so that they might be of good cheer, for You would go to meet Your loved ones. In the same way, we will fear nothing, because, when You see us in danger, You soon come with the solution. Amen!
