And he said to them: “I am one hundred and twenty years old today. I can no longer go out and come in. Also the Lord has said to me, ‘You shall not cross over this Jordan.’  Deuteronomy 31:2

There is a time to be born and time to die (Ecclesiastes 3: 2), therefore we must walk before God as He has said in His Word: in an irreproachable way. We do not know when we will leave this world. However, if we are in sin at the time of our death, which may happen suddenly, our fate will be the abyss, the eternal torment. Sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2).

There were two aspects about which Moses spoke concerning his prohibition to enter the Promised Land. The first was his physical age, for the body of that leader was worn, and this will happen to all people, whether they are saved or not. When the time to leave comes, one cannot avoid this moment, unless one has faith like Hezekiah, who, upon learning of his death, turned his face to the wall and begged for more time here in this world. God added another 15 years to his life.

The second element discussed by Moses was the fact that God had told him: You shall not cross the Jordan. This decision of the Lord was made because Moses struck the rock on the second occasion, twice. He paid no attention to the Almighty when He told him to speak to the rock. The first time he extracted water for the Hebrews, he had to strike the rock with his staff. However, the second time, he was annoyed by the murmur of his people after a harsh message addressed to them, and so he hurt the rock twice. The problem was that this rock represented Jesus.

It’s good to see how you’ve been living your life. When you sense some deviation from the mission that the Most High entrusted you, seek divine forgiveness and straighten yourself. Be alert, for the devil will use filthy means to draw you away from the divine presence. Otherwise, the work that God gave you will not be done, and you will pay held accountable. Don´t be careless when fulfilling your mission with the Heavens!

Remember the seed that fell among thorns (Matthew 13:7). What does this vegetation represent? This seed is being chocked and cannot receive enough sun to produce according to its species. It does sprout, but the plant becomes twisted, without any strength and gangling, an anomaly. This happens because of the deceitfulness of riches, the cares of this world and the ambition of other things (Matthew 13:22). Stay alert!

If you cannot help God’s work to move according to God’s guidance, do not interfere, for whoever hinders the work of the Holy Spirit will receive their penalty. Why work hard for so long, and then suddenly fall for the lies of the accuser? Of course Moses did not go astray, but he suffered the consequences of his precipitated attitude.

Let the Most High use your life! When you reach your pinnacle in life, you will realize how good it was to have been a faithful servant, one interested in the growth of the work. When Jesus returns, those who do not ascend will realize how much they lost. He will come to seek His own, but the wicked will be excluded. Stay alert and pray!

In Christ, with love,

Lord! When we are called to take part in Your work, in any part of the holy work, we must seek Your guidance and fulfill it. But since we know that the enemy will tempt us, we will need Your anointing, protection and guidance.

The Church is Yours. Therefore, we cannot put into Your work our thoughts or sinful things that will stain the beautiful performance of Your Spirit. Nothing that comes from men will be used. We need to know Your plan of salvation.

Besides the obstacle of his advanced age, Moses was forbidden to enter Canaan because he exceeded in the accomplishment of his duty. This is serious! What will become of us if we do not carry out the mission like You have told us? Help Us!
