For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10

When we entered the Kingdom of God, we were transformed. Our past life of unbridled desires has come to an end, and we gained a new life of relationship with the Creator. Our sins were forgiven, we were born again, and a beautiful process of sanctification began in us. We must be careful so that covetousness – the desire to possess goods, money and the pleasures of life – does not overshadow the divine anointing poured out upon us. If we are zealous, our future will be blessed!

Rejoicing with what we have and being aware that we are stewards of God are basic attitudes that we must have, so that His will is fulfilled in us. Our journey on Earth is short. Our spirit, our true self, will never cease to exist; it depends on the decisions we make here in this world to be happy or not forever. Therefore, it is important to check whether or not you are in fellowship with the Father.

When we are well with God, He provides for us to live in peace. This provision is the revelation of the Word. With it, we solve the bad situations that surround us. Most assuredly, our daily Bread will be given to us if we meditate on the Scriptures. The revelation given by what is written in the Bible supplies our needs.

Be alert, for the devil, our adversary, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8b). One of his strategies is to invest against our lives, tempting us with the riches of this world. He does this with the poor and rich, lost and saved, sanctified or carnal, for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Having planted this mad will in our hearts, the father of lies knows that plenty of wrongdoings will arise from it.

Satan has been successful in submerging the servants of God into perdition and ruin. Many of them have fallen into adultery, have been prosecuted as thieves and are committing other crimes. These people have let themselves be carried away by sin, so they live an ungodly life. You must not want that which is unlawful, but only that which is necessary to be happy in Christ.

As servants of God, we must flee from these seemingly good things, which promise to give us a better and safer life, but in the end, they move us away from the light and lead us to wickedness. Why lose your salvation and live a dishonored life, if Christ has called you into His world of dignity, perfection, and purity? Do not leave your position in Jesus. You are so important to the Lord’s plan!

As children of God, we must flee from temptation, as did Joseph of Egypt in the house of Potiphar. We have the anointing on our lives, so we are from the other team, the winning team. Flee from all greed and fight the good fight, taking hold of eternal life. In all situations, make the good confession before several witnesses.

In Christ, with love,

God, our Savior! We do not want to live far from You. Thus, we ask that we be free from temptations, whatever they may be. We do not covet anything and we don’t want any contact with the devil, for we have been saved to be Your children!

Why love money, if You own all gold and silver, and You give these items to those that please You? We need fear to do what Joseph did in Egypt, who, although far from home, did not dishonor You or his father Jacob. We want to honor You at all times.

Mercy for those who deviate from the faith and allow themselves to be possessed by demons, like an adulterous woman. You are the only One who can possess us, for the devil is surely not our master, but our enemy. We are grateful for Your love!
