11/07/2021 - THE FUTURE OF THOSE WHO FEAR GOD

Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him. Ecclesiastes 8.12

Mankind is composed of the lost and the saved. Among the lost, there are several groups of people: those who have never heard the Gospel, and those who have heard but despised the Lord’s teachings; those who are unaware of the existence of the prohibitions, as well as those who could not resist temptation and sinned without repenting. These think that God will not be so strict. Poor lives! What a future!

Among the saved, there is only one group: those who are really converted. Jesus said that for many are called, but few are chosen (Matthew 22.14). No doubt, the choice is made by paying attention to what is of God, always seeking to improve. When an individual surrenders his or her life to the Lord, it becomes His. If he loves Jesus – has the commandments and keeps them – he will be loved by the Father and by Christ, and they will make their home in him (John 14.21,23).

Sinners love the wide door, where everything is allowed, and they gladly talk about their mistakes, as if it were something beautiful. Some do evil from morning till night, while others feel remorse and promise not to sin anymore, but cannot bear the slightest temptation. Without a doubt, they will not inherit the Kingdom of God, but they will be mixed with the other condemned on the way to eternal punishment.

Because they see nothing bad happening to them, they stifle the voice of the Holy Spirit. The lost are convinced by the devil that Bible teachings are the product of a weak mind, or of someone who doesn’t like the “good” things in life. They even call attention to the fact that they live longer than most people, not knowing that God’s mercy stretches out their time here, so that they may come to repentance (Romans 2:4).

Now, the future of those who fear the Lord will be more than wonderful, for they will live with the One who is loving, wise, and perfect. In the Kingdom of Heaven, the saved will be dazzled, seeing so many works not yet discovered by man. The hidden things will be revealed to us in such a special way, that we will be delighted to know that we will live that and much more (1 Corinthians 2:9). Do not despise any saved person!

The sacred writer said: I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God. He saw how blessed we will be forever. We are the Lord’s special people because we love Him. Observe the commandments and keep them. That way, your eternal happiness is guaranteed. It all depends on how you live in the presence of the Almighty.

Never do evil, because with each mistake you will move further away from God. Although the sinner worries only about the day by day, he knows that there is an eternity waiting for him. He who lives the Word has chosen good and will remain in the Lord’s bosom. Take care of yourself! When your time to appear before the Father comes, what will it be?

In Christ, with love,

God of our fear! It is good for us to learn that we have a Heaven to win and a Hell to avoid. The wise will choose to serve You in love and total safety, but the foolish will go from bad to worse. Mercy for all is what we ask of You!

What good is it for people to have a good life, a good job, and a good family if they don't love themselves? When You call them to account, they will despair, and there will be no more remedy that will allow them to enter Your holy Kingdom!

It is wonderful to know that good will come to the one who fears You before You. The chance to sin is of no interest to us, for we never want to turn away from You. Your glory is our goal, Your love is our search, and serving You is our soul's desire!
