The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself. Proverbs 11:25

When the Christian learns to do good, his work will count in the eyes of the Lord.  It is embarrassing to see many in the Body of Christ who do not cooperate with anything in favor of the lost.  They lose out on the best in life because of this omission.  The divine reward for the good deed begins here on Earth and will last forever.  They who obey the Omnipotent, helping the needy to be delivered from the works of darkness become righteous and are consequently blessed in all things.

What is a loss of time for some is a source of pleasure for the obedient.  The servant of the Almighty beyond the victory of his works will always have the assistance from Above to protect him or to open doors when necessary.  However, it is common to a great many of God’s people to avoid doing good.  Few are ever sensitive or even aware to the suffering of others.  The truth is that whoever is not generous does not “fatten” –  and the blessings are held back.  Mercy!

On the other hand, the soul that has been doing good works and healing those that are oppressed by the enemy becomes a generous soul because it follows and imitates Jesus.  This person has had God’s anointment poured on him, to the point of “overflowing” from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.  What can be better than to be filled by the Spirit?  Seek always to do what is good and right to all people.  Allow the Lord to guide your life according to His will.  Halleluiah!

The celestial reward we receive daily is gratifying, but that which we will obtain on the Great Day will be tremendously glorious and will last forever.  Those who receive nothing on the last Day, certainly will feel good for having entered the Kingdom of God, but they will recognize how they were carnal, for not having extended  their hand to the needy nor done anything in order to find salvations and enjoy the blessings reserved for them.

While we have time, let us do good to all (Galatians 6:10). Therefore, do not cross your arms, but seek and invest in moments to speak of the love of Christ for the lost, pray for those who are in prostitution or steeped into drugs and crime.  We must intercede for these sufferers, or they will perish.  Many forget that they only met Jesus because someone sponsored the work that touched their hearts?

To deliver a message from the Lord to the afflicted is an act that can be compared to a person who waters a plant and invests time in this care to be benefitted from later on.  Without this care the plant will die and no one will benefit from it.  Don’t let die those who live in crime, who do not know how to do right and are excluded from eternal life.  Undoubtedly, you will regret not having given them your attention and assistance.

Do something in favor of a sinner, who lives away from God.  At the end of your life won’t you regret having planted in the soil of this other person? Start thinking about the lost, helping missions, and giving more of yourself.  To obey counsel from Jesus is very good and will bring a great reward.  Open your heart and by so doing you will be truly happy.

In Christ, with Love,

Oh God! You follow the works done in You and reward us in a powerful manner.  Those who live in darkness need Your light.  Only this way, can that person be delivered from the darkness that surrounds them.

To spread the Good News is wonderful and will be as a memorial in Your eyes.  This way, You will increase us even more, besides the seed of hope to those who are not motivated. The divine retribution is greater than we imagine.

By being generous we please You.  For this reason, although many are offended as they see us preaching the Word and persecute us, You reward us with Your anointment.  To water Your “little plants” will enable us to also be watered by You.  Thank You!
