The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. Psalm 121.7

What a statement! Will it be enough to make us win the battles? Yes, of course! However, there are other statements in Scripture that we can use, proving that the Lord desires to give His children life in abundance, as He declared: The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy; I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10.10). What a parallel between Christ and the devil! Learn the lesson and live the best!

Let’s see an example: Johnny was placed in the best school in the country, but instead of learning, he only played and didn’t study the subjects. He wanted to learn with the class that liked the wrong things, so he graduated like the others, received his diploma just like the good students, but couldn’t get a job or establish himself in life. Furthermore, he had his name in the police files, becoming a criminal!

Many Christians have been converted in good churches, but they don’t want to learn from Jesus, but from those who practice what the Bible condemns and say that they need to update the Word of God, adding what it doesn’t say. The condemnation of these people is defined: For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book” (Revelation 22.18).

Others are bothered by the biblical prohibitions and teach that they are from another age, from an outdated people. They undermine the commandments, saying that everything is lawful. Look what they will receive on the Great Day: And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of life, from the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this book (Revelation 22.19). Why do they act this way? Because they love sin. Mercy!

Never embark on this canoe, for it has a hole in it, and the damage will be great. Nothing is further from the truth than what the devil says. Whoever acts outside of God’s plan will be condemned to eternal punishment. The saved in Christ must take care of their future, as the Bible says: But he who endures to the end shall be saved (Matthew 24.13). It doesn’t matter how many social works you do, but whether you keep the Word or not!

If any line in the Old Testament had been cancelled, the law of liberty in Christ – the New Testament – would show it. Don’t be fooled! Even a punctuation mark will be fulfilled: For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no mean pass from the law till all is fulfilled (Matthew 5.18). Even if you are the only one to act on the Word, refuse the lies of the evil one.

God promises to protect our soul. This shows the responsibility we need to have toward the Scriptures. Peter mentioned that many will arise to deceive us: [...] Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation (2 Peter 3.4). Daniel said that our mission is this: But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days (Daniel 12.13).

In Christ, with love,

God, Keeper of our soul! We can trust that our soul will be protected by You from all temptations. The enemy will not be able to take us or make us turn away. Firm in the faith, we will look to Your Son, our beloved Savior.

We want to finish our race, without ceasing to seek and love You. The promise we made to Your Son will be fulfilled to the letter. So, we will not stray from Your path, which is a wonderful and blessed path. Thank You for Your grace!

When we think of You, we tremble with joy and not with fear. How can You love us like this, without us having done anything to deserve it? No poison of the devil will destroy us, for You will annul such a weapon sent against us!
