When God took Moses’ life what happened next was very beautiful. These were moments which demonstrated the love of the Lord for His servant and the love of the servant for the Almighty. He did not argue, or even use persuasive words; he simply accepted the divine will as being the best for himself. Those who know how to serve and be servants will never be taken by indignation, wrath or even complain of the wise decisions taken by the Omnipotent. He is Lord!
Moses went up from the fields of Moab to Mount Nebo, the peak at Pisgah, which is before Jericho. There the Lord showed the entire Land of the Promise, which the children of Israel would possess as inheritance ( Deuteronomy 34:1) His heart was filled with joy for this coming blessing and was satisfied, even though the Lord said that he would not enter into Canaan.
God himself described to Moses the future land for each of the families of Jacob. He mentioned each one by name, and showed Him where He would establish the people that had been trusted to him for 40 years (Joshua 5:6) As shepherd to those sheep, he was in peace, for he knew that God is faithful and true and fulfills all His promises, just as he had affirmed to his people. Now it was time to leave for the eternal Home.
What a majestic moment, worthy to be seen by whom had surrendered to God without reservations! That leader had given his life to lead millions out of the slavery of Pharaoh, which symbolizes our exit from the kingdom of darkness. Then, having fulfilled his mission, he most likely praised the Lord for His kindness in having presented to him, that which was the culmination of his work in this world. One can feel the sensation and emotion, can we not? Halleluiah!
Pointing his finger, the Almighty declared: This is the Land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Our God is truly faithful. The great Day will arrive. Jesus will come in glory and all mankind will be divided into two groups. Those on the right will hear from Him, Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world (Matthew 25:34) With jubilee and joy these chosen ones will march to take possession of what is theirs!
How happy we will be to see joy flood the face of the Savior, who paid the highest price to redeem us (1 Corinthians 6:20). We, the saved, will succumb to so much emotion, because at the open and shut of the eyes, we will see the Master open the doors to the eternal Kingdom for us, His redeemed (1 Corinthians 15:52) Never again will we be harried by the devil and his angels. We will live in the Kingdom of perfection, under the command of Jesus forever.
Although he loved Moses, the Lord did not reverse his forbidding of the entry into Canaan. Be careful! One disobedient act will make millions be held back from entering the Kingdom. Don’t turn back; otherwise the Omnipotent will no longer take pleasure in you.
In Christ, with love,

Lord! What a beautiful description You made of the last moments of Moses’ life! You loved him, and he loved You. But because he allowed his indignation to rise and behaved contrary to Your orders, he could not enter the Land of Promise. What a loss! Yet still, he didn’t complain.
We await the blessed coming of Jesus when we will go up with Him to take possession of the Kingdom prepared for us since the foundation of the world. Then the enemy will never torment us again, for then we will be in Your eternal Home, where he cannot enter.
Help us not to be indignant or irate as we execute Your work, for this might take us away from Your promises for us. We want to fulfill everything, directed by Your Spirit, in order to see Your Land. Father, thank You for saving us and making us Your servants. Amen!
