30/08/2023 - THE MANDATE IS TO PROCLAIM

Then the LORD said to me, “Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: ‘Hear the words of this covenant and do them. Jeremiah 11.6

As people are deceived by the devil, they confuse the work of God with some religion without the power from on high to confirm the order issued from Heaven. Many who are in the church are unaware of the Lord’s desire and are only interested in seeing it grow in numbers, and not in saved people, denying the lost the essential: divine grace. Now, doing social work is the mission of the government, to whom we pay taxes. The church needs to answer the Master’s call (Mark 16.15).

Jeremiah had to proclaim the message that had been given to him, because his people had strayed from the Covenant made with their fathers. For this reason, the enemy would take them to be slaves in Babylon, home of all demons (Revelation 18.2). Our message is the Good News of what Christ did on the cross of Calvary in favor of all, taking our sins, our diseases and illnesses upon Himself, in order to deliver us from suffering (Isaiah 53.3,4).

The word that Jeremiah would preach in the cities of Judah, and especially in Jerusalem, was one of forgiveness and deliverance from Babylonian captivity, where they would be ashamed and humiliated. He was a forerunner of the Gospel of Jesus, for the Church to go throughout the world and preach it to every creature, whether they were simple people or important before the human eyes. The prophet was to deliver the people from Babylonian destiny, and we are to help the lost to be saved from the lake of fire and brimstone (Jude 23)!

God wanted to save them from perdition by delivering them from the burden of the unjust King Nebuchadnezzar. We preach to lead the lost away from hell. If they go there, they will never come out (Revelation 20:10). The people of that time did not want to listen to the prophet, preferring the sinful life that reigned in that land. The same happens today, because people are obsessed with money and iniquity. What do you think about this?

The Lord wants to deliver this generation from spiritual oppression and take it to Heaven. But to do this, we have to go to these people with power. They live near us, but they have been resistant to the Gospel. How long will we tell them the same things and watch them harden their hearts more and more, refusing to give up their sins? We must give them the chance to meet their Creator, or they will continue walking towards the lake of fire (Revelation 20.11-15).

Jude, Jesus’ servant, said that we must rescue them from the fire (Jude 23). Someone who rescues those in a fire needs to be determined and have the necessary tools, otherwise they will get burned too. We possess the Word for those who need this rescue, but often we don’t believe as we should. The demon possessed man who lived among the tombs, naked and extremely violent, was rescued by Jesus (Mark 5.1-20). Let us fulfill the command to Go!

Christ gave us the example of how to do the Father’s work, but we do not live in prayer and fasting, but in human thoughts. Therefore, we are spiritually weak. According to the Word, whoever is led by the Holy Spirit is a child of God (Galatians 5.18). We confess that we are, but we don’t even care and when something goes wrong, we still blame God. Mercy!

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares

Savior God! You are our Redeemer, but we have not considered You as such. We live as if eternal life were something that leads people to our church, and not to Your Kingdom. When will we actually start obeying You?

It’s sad to see the twisted destiny of millions of people who started out well being called to give You the primacy in their lives. Why don't we fulfill Your command to proclaim Your will everywhere, with the irresistible anointing of Your love?

We need Your mercy, to obey what You have said. We cannot close our eyes, while we delight in the world and do nothing for the lost. We need Your grace, Lord!
