The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But He loves him who follows righteousness. Proverbs 15.9

To follow justice makes us great before the Most High, and promotes us to such a high level that, when we reach it, we enjoy the goodness of the Lord. Abraham heard the divine voice, which commanded him to leave his land and go to a place that would be shown to him (Genesis 12:1). The father of faith believed in God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness (Romans 4: 3). When one obeys the Lord, this person´s action also becomes an act of righteousness.

Still on the patriarch, it pleased the Lord that he and his wife, Sarah, waited for the fulfillment of the promise that they would have a son, not doubting the faith. So God made Sarah, at the age of 90, and Abraham at 100, become the parents of Isaac, the son of promise (Genesis 21:1-3). Regardless of the situations, use your faith for the Most High to work what He has spoken to you.

We do not know the spiritual repercussion of one attitude of obedience of ours. However, when you understand that something belongs to you in the Word, just believe. Oftentimes, we will only come to know in eternity why we were chosen to do what pleases God. Our part in the work is to always trust and never be weak (2 Chronicles 15: 7). The Lord only needs you to stand firm in the faith (Mark 5:36b). Whoever follows justice proves that they love the heavenly Father.

Phinehas crossed with a spear the Israelite and the Midianite who, before the congregation, mocked the Almighty and His people. The grandson of Aaron the priest, ceased the plague that broke out in the camp because of that kind of sin. His attitude received the love of the Lord and was recorded in the Bible (Numbers 25: 6-12). Today, our action is not physical, but it’s in the spiritual realm, where God is avenged from one’s wickedness.

Whoever offers so that the Gospel reaches those that are captive will be rewarded by the Lord. He will never despise your act of righteousness; therefore, be aware of the need to give yourself more to the work of God. In this way, it will have continuity and it will advance throughout the world. The lost will receive the Word and will convert if we do our part: give them the Bread (John 6:35).

Jesus said that doing good to any of His disciples, even if it is offering a cup of cold water, is so important, that there will be an eternal reward (Matthew 10:42). So help all those who need Him. Seek to be loved by the Lord by following His righteousness. God will make you the target of His love. You just have to act in order to be happy and blessed.

When you learn the Lord’s guidelines through the Word, take hold of them as a path that was traced by Him. When you discover what God has determined as your mission, say “yes” and go on. This way, you will have God´s love.
