06/06/2018 - THE REASON FOR OUR JOY

You have multiplied the nation And increased its joy; They rejoice before You According to the joy of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil.  Isaiah 9:3

God’s love for us, his people chosen to be part of His plan, is so great, that He gave us His only Son to die in our place (John3:16). He who hears the message of the Gospel and accepts it is saved, moving from death to life.  Each day in Brazil, thousands of pastors and preachers talk about the love of Christ and pray the prayer of faith.  Accordingly, multitudes learn and conclude that the Lord saves and heals the sick.

Compared to the small number we were years ago and how many we are today, we recognize that the Lord has multiplied the holy people.  This understanding is the beginning of the revival that will shake the world very soon.  The devil can use his soldiers to counter faith in the Savior, but the deeds of the Almighty show that the Gospel is everything that the people need.  In many places this has already begun to happen.  Halleluiah!

We have plenty of joy in store that we don’t even use.  It is by using it that we can perform the same things that Jesus did and even greater (John 14:12).  Unfortunately, we have paid attention to the appeals of the flesh, or by meanness or evil, we envy what belongs to others, and this is no right (Exodus 20:17).  Unfortunately when we give in to temptation we become slaves to the spirit that tempts us (2 Peter 2:18, 19).

The Word declares that all will be content before the Almighty (Deuteronomy 12:12).  Therefore, abandon the flesh and take up joy before Him.  If the enemy comes after your life, the Lord can solve every situation and will turn you into the blessing He had in mind that you be.  If you do not have this joy, don’t make decisions or even pray for circumstances that seem to be God’s but in reality come from the hand of the devil.

We can always walk victoriously, preserving the satisfaction of a promise revealed.  Then, keeping this good sensation, we will be rewarded with more of it and we will praise and serve God with songs, as is our duty (Psalm 100:2). Certainly by giving into the antics of the devil we have subjected ourselves to spiritually lower lives.  Now, the Lord has already affirmed that our joy must be complete (John 15:11).

What would you do if you were a farmer and you had a huge harvest?  Your heart would certainly rejoice, would it not?  Well, this is how the heavenly Father desires that you live, because the Land of Promise, your understanding the Gospel, is huge and has produced in abundance.  All of Gods sons should act like Jabez, who asked for increase in his territory (1 Chronicles 4:10).

Jesus came and overcame the devil for us.  Now, everything that Satan had stolen from us was restored.  Then, like in the past, when the soldiers won a war and were overjoyed, they would divide the spoils of the defeated; we too must do the same with what Christ conquered for us.  The spoils are great!
