27/12/2016 - THE SNARE OF THE WICKED

The wicked is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, But the righteous will come through trouble.  Proverbs 12.13

The transgression of lips is not only found in those that proffer obscenities, lies and malice, but also in those that do not confess what the Bible declares and for this reason is never aided.  When this person speaks as men speak, what they say becomes a snare that binds the person to the enemy.  So then, by this small but dangerous error, this person falls into a malignant trap.  The spiritual consequences for not confessing the Truth are greater than we think.

The Christian that confesses anything other than what the Scriptures reveal, speaks ill of others and does not bless those who offended them, undoubtedly breaks the law of freedom – the Gospel – and consequently everything works against him (James 2:12)   It is necessary to check if this has been the case in your life for it you have been snared by the fowler, you won’t be set free by yourself.

Watch what you say when you are attacked by infernal forces.  If you do not express what is written in the Bible your words will imprison you.  Many people cannot heal themselves, deliver themselves from oppressions or win the battles of life, even the simple ones, because they don’t control what they say.  Due to this they are captive by the words from their mouths.

With unclean lips, using religious concepts, talking like common man, and not how God expresses Himself, you will not be able to invoke the Name of Jesus.  Besides, you will cease to serve Him with the same spirit as our brothers of the past and for this were included in the gallery of the heroes of the faith. (Hebrews 11)  If need be, ask God to send an angel with a blacksmith’s tong and touch your lips with a hot ember from the altar. (Isaiah 6:6-7)

Those who flatter with their lips, speaking wickedly with their hearts void of the divine presence will see that their words were overturned by the Lord.  We can only express orally that which He gives us to say and not whatever we desire to say.  Therefore, plead for an angel to stand guard at the door to your mouth (Psalm 141:3) He who does not control his declarations must plead to the Lord that He do this in their stead.

The words from the lips of God will keep you from the paths of the devil.  They act as medicine for your body, anointment for your spirit and peace for your soul; for this reason, never allow the evil to use you.  Surrender to the Holy Spirit, who will give you the message no one can resist.  He who serves the Lord will never be confounded. But whoever rebels against the divine principles will be put to shame. (Psalm 25:3)

All deceitful lips who speak against those who serve God will be silenced. When that person has to be sincere to be delivered from oppressive spirits that person will discover that even trying with great effort, he or she will not be able to say what should be said. Dedicate yourself to God and you will say the Truth.

In Christ, with love,

God of truthful lips!  You set us the example so that we could be successful for as you speak only the truth, You teach us how to proceed and by so doing to glorify You.  Sanctify our mouths!

We do not want to confess contrary to what the Scriptures say, but only what is good for our own edification and that of others.  Use us always to pronounce blessings even upon those who have wronged us, as we do not want to trespass on the law of freedom.

Give us pure lips, as you gave to Isaiah, the prophet.  That we may never use religious concepts speaking like the common man. We want to be like You so we can invoke the Name of Jesus. Amen!
