Then they said to Him, “Who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning. John 8:25

The Jews in the times of Jesus were very privileged to receive this great surprise: Jehovah Himself, the one who made a covenant with Abraham, came to the world to bless them, but they didn’t recognize Him: He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him (John 1:11). Now, He is our Savior. Abraham’s earthly descendants are “abandoned”, but one day they will convert to Jesus.

The world is starting to see the revival God will send to the Earth, when millions of people will turn to Christ and turn the planet into the “stage” of many wonders and great works: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (John 14:12). Those who live will see!

These will be wonderful days! The servants of God will turn streets and public squares into appropriate places for the Most High to demonstrate His glory. During this time, many will come to know the one and true Lord; Jews will turn to Him and evangelize the world, turning it upside down: ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.” (Haggai 2:9)

The Creator made the world, and all of humanity descends from just one man. But many still think it is about following a religion instead of receiving Jesus in their hearts. However, when God causes this great revival to happen, nothing will stop the great demonstration of wonders, just like Jesus did in His days. The Lord is God!

The scribes and Pharisees proved, through the questions they made to Jesus, that they didn’t understand the Scriptures, although they copied and studied them daily. Without divine help, man can’t find the Lord even when he reads the Bible, and especially if he is negatively biased towards it, like those religious men were. When you read the Word, read as if you were just beginning your walk of faith.

The truth is that these men of the law understood that Jesus was the Christ, but they didn’t want to believe it. They knew they’d soon lose control of those they had been fooling until then. It is amazing how some people say they belong to God, but don’t know Him or serve Him; but they still call themselves priests: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. (Matthew 15:8).

The Savior was harsh with the scribes and Pharisees because what they wanted to know had already been revealed to them. This is what the Master said: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves. (Matthew 23:15)

In Christ, with love,

Lord, our true Master! It is great to be taught by You. That way we can take the necessary steps of faith to know You and serve You. It would be better if there weren’t any people pretending to serve You and doing it with other interests in mind. Have mercy on them!

Those religious men weren’t innocent, just as those who don’t take a stand in You. Jesus called them hypocrites, because they were faking their attitudes, but we want to serve You with a pure soul!

Thank You for calling us, giving us Your love and Your mercy. We long to live for You all the time, testifying of the truth. Father, don’t let us slip from Your hands!
