15/09/2017 - THEY CRIED OUT TO THE WRONG PERSON

Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, “Why are you dealing thus with your servants? Exodus 5:15

The Pharaoh’s orders were brutal.  The Hebrew slaves could not diminish the quantity of bricks produced but they had to get their own straw. He thought that idle time made them want to worship and sacrifice to the Lord.  Those who were drawn away from God thought they could avoid this punishment if they surrendered the idea of liberation, since they did not realize that everything came or happened as a conspiracy from Heaven for their own good.

The devil continues to threaten, enraging people with the fact that even after seeking the Lord they continue to see themselves in various problems. Knowing that he is going to lose his captives the enemy strives to convince them to forget their liberation.  There even are some who say they are used to limping or living on scant resources and forget the abundant life in Jesus.

God sees all things and as threats rise up to draw us away from Him, He empowers us to resist and overcome. When it seemed that we would lose heart, cease and desist, our sorrow turned into joy and jubilation. The Pharaoh was correct when he said that they were lazy, because many were no longer seeking the Lord as they should be. When the trials came upon them, they would have to decide; if they did not seek God then they would not be set free and would remain empty handed.

The king was wrong when he confused the Lord’s mission and determination with the empty words of man or the vain threats of the demon. All that comes from the Most High is rich in blessings even if it is a difficult trial. We are tested to be approved as soldiers who know how to wield the sword of the Spirit.  If we are not approved in smaller battles to reach the stature of Christ, how will we prevail and overcome during the greater storms, torments and battles?

Trust in the Word because it contains everything we need to please the Father. What the devil say will never be; but if you give him credit, your word will be an access for evil to enter your life. The Pharaoh’s officers repeated his words to the people but they knew not that those words were draining the patience of God.

The people who were not seeking the Lord were now seeking for straw in obedience to the king.  Likewise, those who do not like to attend vigils and have no time to consecrate to God are found sleeping in hospitals amid sickness and pain and in other god forbidden places. It is not easy to serve the king of evil and flog the officers of Israel. However, it is when the night is darkest that the dawn is nearest.

The Hebrew officers cried to the wrong person. They should have gone directly to God, never to the Pharaoh. The devil knows no love, compassion, mercy, pity or pardon. Our God yes, He is in those who sincerely seek Him in truth, plea for His help and depend exclusively on Him. Why not seek Him and serve Him? What do you say?

In Christ, with Love,

Sovereign God! Some people know not that they add strife and pain to their lives when they offend You.  Not because You cannot withstand but because they become vulnerable to the devil.  Help us to deliver them.

The burden that the Pharaoh laden on the Hebrew slaves helped them to believe in You and not trust that tyrant who was controlled by the devil. He strove to mistreat Your people and was not believing correctly. In his madness he destroyed himself. Mercy!

That our officers, workers of the Gospel, may not take heavily what must come to pass, but fight bravely unto the end.  It is evident that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers of darkness in infernal realms. Halleluiah and Amen!
