For this God is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death. Psalm 48.1

As we read the Bible we not only become familiar with the wonders worked by the Lord, but we also receive the testimony of His promises with respect to us.  Those who do not examine the Scriptures live like illiterates for they only learn from hearsay, and most of the times, they retain only what is not good.  Jesus said we should examine the Word, for it bears testimony to us and in it is eternal life.

When we understand what God says in his Holy Book we learn what to do in all circumstances avoiding consequently falling into the enemy’s traps.  We discover excellent revelations that make us successful in all battles – whether it is to expel deceiving forces or to lay hold and claim what belongs to us.  Cultivate the habit of reading the Word every day for it will greatly help you. 

There’s one type of temptation that some people fall victim to.  Sometimes they think that if there were a god greater than ours it would be interesting to meet him.  This is a trick of the enemy and must be recognized and swiftly rebuked.  If it were true where would this being be that it never appeared and only deceived us all the time?  Beware of what the devil says because he is the father of lies.

The Scriptures warn that the malignant is astute and dangerous; you can’t be too careful. From one moment to the next he can involve you completely, and the trick will only not be perfect, because he as the author of all kinds of error is incomplete, imperfect and evil in everything he does.  But you had better learn how to rid yourself from him because with his malice he has been able to fool many of the chosen.

The true God has offered proof positive of His power.   He has already wrought what is necessary for our salvation and has always honored those who have honored Him.  So therefore, be wise not to fall for the tricks of the adversary and be disqualified!  You won the big prize when you understood God’s plan and decided to live with Jesus.  For this reason you received the light and now you cannot be confused by the tactics of the enemy.

There never lived nor will there ever live another God, so always confess that He the Lord is the One and Only.  Beyond this, do even more: enjoy His company, participate in His work and strive to know Him even more.  This way you will grow in the Lord’s grace and will acquire more understanding of Him.  Learning from Him, you will become wiser than all the wise men you have known all your life.

Let the Omnipotent be your guide until death, so you will never stumble or be ashamed.  But if you cross your arms and do anything to come to the Omnipotent, He won’t be able to do anything for your nor for yours.  Come close to the Father and He will draw near to you; seek Him and He will be found by you; love Him and he will likewise love you.
