But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, Matthew 5:44

It is unpleasant when someone becomes our enemy. This does not happen by chance, but it’s the work of the devil, in a moment when a person thinks you are useless and believes that you are hiding something to deceive others. So then, the accuser goes out to the field, finds one that does not have God´s Seal and poisons such person.

This person is in the clutches of the accuser. Through the justice system you can request monetary compensation for damages in a law suit due to slander or defamation against the other party. But if you are a servant of God, there is another proposal for Him to become your Father. The Lord says that you should pray for those who oppose you, so that your opponent may be freed of the demon who used him. Only your prayer can set him free, for such a person is in your hands. Love them!

Whoever sinned against you is under your power to forgive them or not. If the Most High has already forgiven you for so many offenses, why not show a small act of mercy and love your opponent? This is one of the most powerful works that anyone can accomplish: look at one who has harmed you and not only speak to the God who forgives you, but also rebuke the action of the opponent. By loving him, you break the devil’s power over that life.

The Lord also declares that we must bless those who curse us. It is easy to fall into the clutches of the father of lies. If someone harms us, then the devil comes into action and convinces us to curse that person.  In some cases, we also close the Heavens for that person. It is painful for you to forgive them or to bless and surround them with your prayers after all the evil they did against you. However, this is the way for God to work in you!

Jesus did not stop there, but said that we should do good to those who hate us. The orientation is the same, because if we want to be blessed with the good of the chosen ones, we have to act like them. To do good is to break Satan’s power over the person who harmed you. The Gospel is not to be read superficially, but with attention and willingness to fulfill what God commands.

Finally, we are instructed to pray, to dedicate time in the presence of the Most High, to help those who mistreat us and persecute us. So, what will we do? Will we let somebody deceive us, carry away our blessing, or will we do according to the heavenly guidance? By doing good to those who persecute you will cause you to be assisted by the Lord in a phenomenal way. Thus the tempter will lose his ability to bring evil into your life.

It is easy to keep the Lord’s plan as long as we obey the Word. God Himself will fill your inner being with this disposition, and you will be freed from the evil one. Nothing happens to us by chance, but simply because we don’t know how the spiritual world works. Bless and be blessed!
