In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble. 1 Peter 5:5

To follow the Lord Jesus is to walk on a path that only does good to those who were blessed to know Him. We serve Him because we love Him and because of the joy in our heart. Surrender to divine will is better and more productive. This way, we become wise. To yield under the mighty hand of God is the best we can do. If He doesn’t lead the work, nothing we do will be useful!

Every day we are surprised by Word´s voice, which gives us safe guidance. It prevents us from falling in the clutches of the enemy, who prowls around like a roaring lion seeking to devour us (1 Peter 5:8). We need to be alert and pray constantly; thus, the enemy will not deceive us or drag us to perdition. We will succeed if we serve the Lord blamelessly. He helps those that love Him!

By obeying the Scriptures, we do half of the work, and when we believe we fulfill it. If we let the Spirit of the Lord complete the work in us, we will see how wonderful it is to give Him the command over our life. Our heart is strengthened when we submit to God. So, no matter how tough the trial is, the person will come out of it as a conqueror over the devil.

Those who have been walking with the heavenly Father for a longer time certainly know more and are able to help others in their trials. There are exceptions, like some who become careless towards the Scriptures or simply don’t pray and stay alert. Those that disobey the Holy Spirit do wrong things, go to places they weren’t sent and forsake God.

On the other hand, others who are on the Way less time act correctly, so God entrust them with more missions. Everybody should help one another, without failing to answer the guidelines of the Word. God puts us in trials to test us, and we must succeed coming out of it. He does not change (Malachi 3:6).

It’s good to clothe yourself with humbleness, for the Lord opposes the proud. In truth, the person that is proud simply draws away from the Most High and sins. Now, as soon as they sin, they feel sad. Listen to the Holy Spirit´s voice, who speaks whenever we hurt Him. Those guided by the Lord win their battles!

Finally, God favors the humble. Therefore, pray so that pride, arrogance and other wicked flaws never take over your heart. Keeping yourself pure and within divine plan will lead you to submit to the elders and other brothers.

In Christ, with love,

Father! We must never give in to pride. How many times have we come before You asking for Your grace? You promote us, uses our life and turns us into Your blessings. Why should we boast?

We want to be in Your hands, not in Satan´s clutches, so we ask for Your favor. After the fall, man´s heart becomes proud. Your help is essential for us to live in Your presence.

Grant us humbleness to honor Your more experienced servants, by learning from them. You are our God and Father, who protects us, keeps us and leads us to do Your will. We need your kindness to serve You fully!
