25/01/2018 - TURN NOT ASIDE FROM FOLLOWING THE LORD

Then Samuel said to the people, “Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness; yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart. 1 Samuel 12:20

When the Lord asks you to deliver somebody a message, He will instruct you as to how to proceed.  We must always be ready to execute our mission, regardless if the moment is opportune or not.  Taught by God we will not fail.  We were called by the Father to face the problems of the world.

Do not add or subtract from anything that He says.  Be wise! No doubt the message can be from God, but with no wisdom, you might be used by the enemy.  Then you will not succeed in this endeavor.  Following divine direction, you will find peace and disposition to not doubt.  The faithful servants will conclude that the Almighty went before them and prepared everything for a victorious outcome (Deuteronomy 31:8).

There has never been one case in which the Lord forgot any detail. He is perfect in His doings, therefore, whoever obeys Him will succeed.  God calling somebody to His side to share in any mission of His is an act of love.  Participating in His plans, the person will receive a reward that will last for all eternity.

Samuel heard well and told the people that they should fear not.  Certainly the Israelites erred in what they did, and this would cost them some damage, but would not cause God to revoke His promise to make them a blessing among all nations.  That the saved may not cause any loss to the Kingdom with their attitudes! If their decisions bring damages to the projects from on High, they will have to repent and get straight with the Lord.  Then, He will bless them.

The reproach was so that they would know that when the loss occurred, they could not blame God for ineptness or lack of zeal in keeping His word. Everything that we do against divine will, certainly will harm us, because His is the best way.  If we do not do what the Father says, the loss will be ours.  Do then, exactly as the Lord commands and don’t listen to the tempter.

The people’s decision to ask for a king, so that Israel could be like the other nations, did not please God. The Most High wanted to continue being their King, calling men to be judges, which were prepared by Him.  The Lord knew that without a new birth, man can fall into sin and behave just like the lost. Only after being born again, can he be able to resist temptations.  Those who walk in the Spirit will never fulfill the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

Two instructions: they must obey and follow God, for he is good, and serve Him with all their hearts.  Obey these heavenly directions, believing in the Omnipotent, and you will never fall prey to the enemy’s traps.

In Christ, with Love,

Lord, our King!  We must learn with Your Word, learning from Israel’s past mistakes, so that we do not fall prey to the enemy’s traps.  Anyone who lets the enemy’s hand to guide them will discover the great evil they did. Mercy!

When we recognize our error and confess it, You forgive us immediately; for this reason, we have no reason to not come before You.  What we most want is not to make decisions that go against Your teachings.

We will neither fear nor obey the enemy.  We trust in You and seek Your mercy.  From now on, let us obey Your command and leave no room in our lives for the devil or his demons.  With love, teach us to love You!
