And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord:“For He is good, For His mercy endures forever toward Israel.”Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.   Esdras 3:11

That was a commemorative day, for the foundations of the new temple were in place. This caused the Levites to lead the people to offer true praise to God. They ministered alternately; sometimes one would sing songs, sometimes another would do it. Probably one sang something and another answered. The feast in Jerusalem was cinematic in its spiritual essence.

The purpose of the priests to sound the horns and the Levites to sing was to render thanks to the Name of the Lord. We should do this every day. As we exalt our God, we will be helped and exalted by Him. Perhaps the enemy has done him great harm; but when you become great before the Most High, your adversary will become small and insignificant in your victory.

Everyone praised and made celebrations dedicated to the Most High, because He is good, and wonderful to praise Him with joy. Few people often celebrate the Name of God because He has heard their prayers for a near-death relative, and after the cry has recovered; or for those who were in financial need and were served. We need to express our love and consideration for our heavenly Father in words.

Why celebrate the Lord? By His eternal kindness. However, the Word says it lasts over Israel – God’s people. A person may receive the divine touch of kind hope, or hopeful kindness, but if not saved, he will transgress again and that virtue of the Lord will be extinguished. Those who are of God must meditate on this fact.

He who does not feel the joy of the Lord is unable to rejoice. Now many people have never experienced joy in the sight of the Most High. At most, they acknowledged His help, but lost the reward of rejoicing before Him. When you are in a meeting where people are showing contentment in the divine presence, do the same, because God will bless you.

Do not waste time, praise the Most High. At this time, evil can be undone in the blink of an eye. I have seen many people being visited by the divine power, joining us in blessing the Lord. It unites all those who do it from the heart, for they see the heavenly Father doing wonders. Hallelujah!

The reason for the Israelites’ satisfaction was that the foundations of the House of God were laid. The devil used the Babylonians to destroy Solomon’s Temple, but now God used His servants to rebuild His House. In addition to making the Lord happy, it is good for us!

In Christ, with love,

Eternal God! When our foundations begin to be laid, we should give Thee true praise, the fruit of the lips that acknowledge how much You have done for us. The devil cannot destroy the joy of Your people, who praise Your holy name.

You are good, so we should improve our songs and the other actions we have taken to glorify You. Help us to offer You the praise that is due by expressing the gratitude of our hearts.

Your mercy endures forever upon Israel, Thy chosen people. We have been chosen to love You and carry Your message to the four corners of this world. You have given us the power to rejoice with great joy. Thank You Father!
