10/04/2018 - WHEN TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION

Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. John 5: 19

We should always be in communion with the Father, for thus we would make good decisions and never be defeated. In everything that is done, there is a secret. In commerce, for example, one of them is to know how to buy for a good price the merchandise that is fashionable, profiting on top of that. Concerning faith, we will discover the secret in this study, because as Christ said: the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do. (John 5: 19).

Jesus was the Son of God and, in John 10: 30, affirms that He and the Father are one. Even so, the Savior revealed that He could not do any work for Himself. How can we succeed in the battles of spiritual life without the Lord leading us? According to the Master, only the things that the Father has done can be performed by us. It is possible to have this certainty through what He tells us in His Word. When revealing something to us, the Lord went out ahead of us to finish the work.

How can we, in the wink of an eye, say that something is holy or sinful? Or that we will fight for a blessing with someone and that that is the right thing to do? Let us not be irresponsible children, but consecrated servants, who understand the will of God. Then, no matter how difficult the situation is, we will reach a happy ending. With divine guidance, we will always succeed.

Christ needed to see the Father do something in order to do what He should. This dependence is more than necessary, or whatever we do will be quite different from divine planning and we will embitter defeats. It does not hurt to read the Bible, meditate on it and obey the touches of the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures assure us that God is not a God of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33), so make sure you have received His guidance and then set out to fulfill it.

We can only do what the Father has already done, and this teaches us that we will only succeed if we are commanded by Him. Although we have good intentions, what matters is the plan of the Almighty. The truth is that we do not see a hand in front of our nose; but if we understand the good, pleasing and perfect will of the Lord, we will remain firm. If He spoke, then that is true in the spiritual world.

The person who falls for the lies of the enemy is completely deceived. Those who do not seek the Lord will never overcome the obstacles placed before them. So, although he strives to the fullest and calls for divine help, he will not be heeded. God is only committed to His Word. Therefore, watch and pray to go only where He has sent you.

When God guides our lives, we always succeed. His servants in the past allowed themselves to be led by Him and, therefore, succeeded in their deeds. If we have the right idea of what to do, why err? Isn´t that right?

In Christ with love,

Wise and mighty God! The answer given by Jesus silences every desire we have of doing what we think is good. If You did not do that in the world of perfection, why try to accomplish what You have not destined for us? We need You!

Your Son could not do anything, unless He saw You do it. Surely we are on a much lower level than Him.  Thus, we need to seek Your will even more, and when we are to do something, we must do so with Your guidance!

Allow us to grow so that we may know Your deeds. Then, under Thy government, we will be able to do what we have been ordered to do. May Your hand guide us, so that we may never be defeated in our struggles. Amen!
