Everything we do by faith receives the Lord’s help. However, many times, when the work is almost over, we feel weak or discouraged and leave the tower unfinished (Luke 14.28-31). This was one of the Master’s warnings to His disciples. We must not act on the emotion of the moment, but go all the way in what we know is God’s command (Luke 9.62). Those who walk by faith know that to retreat and say that we can do no more grieves the heart of our Father (Hebrews 10.39).
The wicked and sinners watch us all the time, to see if this “thing” of God is as we speak, or if we are like them, who always hide the truth. To tell lies is to sell yourself to the evil one, who is the father of lies (John 8.44). Do not want to have this evil being as your father, but surrender yourself into the hands of the Most High and live like His servants of the past. Those who love Christ will never dishonor His Name!
With the strength of the Lord, the Israelites inflicted great defeats on their enemies, to the point that they credited this as God’s work – indeed, it was. But they believed what God had told them. Now, when they realized that this could not be done by them alone, the sons of Jacob begged the Most High to arise and they were answered. Likewise, we should beg God to enter the battle for us, and He will.

Those who have seen the Word revealed to them need only to ordain its fulfillment (John 15.1-8). However, sometimes, when everything is going so well and we think of victory, there is a setback and everything turns out to be worse than before. If this happens to you, never allow yourself to be deceived by the devil, but stand up and rebuke his actions. Don’t let the evil one show you anything that comes from him, because only the Lord shows you the truth. Reject the lie!
David prayed for salvation, and that is what we should do. If we let the consequences of the evils exist in body, soul and spirit, the devil will take advantage of what is left of his wicked trickery and attack us again with more pain. Therefore, fulfill your mission completely. The Lord will show you greater works if you obey the divine commands. God is preparing you to do the same things that Jesus did (John 14.12)!
Christ gave an example of this on the occasion of the healing of the blind man, who still could not see well after receiving the blessing. Then the Master laid hands on him again, and the man could see clearly (Mark 8.22-25). The Son of God will never leave the work half done, but notice that He was always praying to understand how to act. Those who live at the feet of the Savior act like Him; those who do not have time to consecrate themselves feel that they do not possess divine power. Be vigilant!
The psalmist acknowledged his failure for not having considered the Lord as his God. But now he pleads for the completion of the work, calling Him his God. David recognized the Most High smote his adversaries on the jaws, breaking his teeth. That made the big difference in the battle. Do what you have been commanded, and God will carry out the rest!

God of holy strategies! After seeing his enemies wounded in the jaws and coming back to fight, the beloved king of Israel asked You to arise, because his faith would not admit the unfinished work. We also ask You: Arise up, Father!
We need You in our struggles, for we wage Your wars. Our part is to give the opponent a shameful defeat. After all, we have Your promise that whatever we demand in Your Name the beloved Savior will do. We only accept the ultimate victory!
Up to this point You have helped us, and this proves that we will finish the battles successfully. In Your hand, there is enough power to give us deliverance. So we cry out to You with all our hearts. Come and help us, that Your Name may be glorified and loved!
