08/01/2020 - WHY WALK NAKED?

Now when Moses saw that the people were unrestrained (for Aaron had not restrained them, to their shame among their enemies).  Exodus 32:25

Originally the human would not be clothed, but having sinned he became conscious of his nudity.  Then the Lord provided him clothing (Genesis 3:7).  This proves that after sin entered the Earth, man must live and walk in clothing.  However, because they ignored this, or wanted to defy the Almighty, there are those who like to undress themselves in front of others, showing their defiance against the decisions of the Almighty (Revelation 16:15). Have pity!

When the obsessed from the province of the Gadarenes was delivered they immediately provided him with clothing.  Before Jesus delivered him, that man did not care that he was naked.  In this we can see the intensity of the demonic possession in the life of a person.  The greater the evil oppression the less clothes the person wants to wear.  This can be noticed in the streets where prostitution is permitted.  Beware and pray!

In the days when Moses took Israel to lay hold of Promised Land, something sad occurred there.  The leader ascended the mountain to pray and to be with God, but as he took long to return the people became worried and desperate for what might have happened (Exodus 32:1-8).  The speculations were various; so the Hebrews felt the need to create something that they could see and believe.  How the forces of evil work in the lives of the weak, don’t they?

In light of the lack of word, the people asked Aaron the priest to make them a Golden calf, so that they could worship and adore and keep it before them.  It can’t be understood how Moses’ brother, besides complying with this, made them be naked.  That was a shameful day! It is unbelievable what happens when the fear or God is lacking.

Be careful to not let the adversary’s seduction enter your heart.  If this happens, you might be led to do things that have never been seen among the lost. Be reminded that Jesus taught us to keep watch and to pray not to fall into temptation (Matthew 26:41).  They that stray from the Lord move from holiness to worldliness in fractions of a second.  Nothing beyond what the Bible say must be accepted by anyone who intends to remain in the hands of God.

After the resurrection of the Savior, Peter and the other disciples went back to fishing but caught nothing all night.  Somebody at the seaside asked if they had fished anything but the reply was negative.  Then this Person told them to cast their nets on the right side of the boat and they were truly amazed with the quantity of fish that they had brought in their net.   Learning that it was the Lord, Peter dressed his robe, for he was naked.  He knew how to conduct himself in the presence of the Master (John 21:1-7).

Seek to follow Jesus with appropriate attire – spiritual clothing.  This way You will not have to be like the young man that followed Jesus on His way to Calvary, dressed only in a sheet.  When someone pulled on it, the young man left the sheet and ran naked (Mark 14:51,52). However, a follower of Christ should never flee!

In Christ, with Love,

Lord!  If we had no sin, we would need only Your light to cover us.  Today, as we walk in this flesh, which is worthless, we have to be with our spiritual covering all the time.

Moses was astounded with what man can do with the slightest carelessness.  Because of this, he broke the tablets of the Law with the Ten Commandments.  Your Law is not written in the tablets of our heart with ink, but yes with Your Spirit!

We want to be found with our nuptial garments; otherwise we will be expelled from Your presence.  We plea for the revelation of Your Word; then the decision to be Yours will remain forever.  We love You!
