14/12/2023 - WILL A MAN ROB GOD?

Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings Malachi 3.8

The Word must always be preached, so that people never stray from it and are eternally lost. Those who have been called to be witnesses of Jesus cannot give in to the enemy, who always questions the authenticity of the divine Word. Now, the Lord has never deceived and will never do so, because He is the Truth (Numbers 23:19; John 14:6). If a Christian lies even when talking about God’s love, he is disqualifying himself from eternal life.

If a preacher tells the members of his congregation that it is not necessary to tithe everything that comes into their hands, he is lying and will be in serious trouble at the judgment seat of Christ, where he will give an account of his deeds (2 Corinthians 5:10). Anyone who claims that Jesus never endorsed tithing should study His words in Matthew’s gospel. What He said will never be revoked or changed!

Jesus spoke clearly about tithing: Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law; justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.  (Matthew 23:23). What did He mean by: without leaving the others? They claimed to tithe what they harvested, but they omitted it. You can’t change anyone’s will!

How will God deal with an employer who fails to give his employee what he agreed to? Without a doubt, divine justice will condemn those who act maliciously against anyone, and the judgment will be without mercy. Imagine someone who claims to love Jesus but withholds the portion due to the work of God! If the church, for lack of resources, cannot take the message to the lost, who will be to blame? Pray about this!

The prophet Malachi was told that failing to tithe is theft. Now, many saved people have never thought of doing this, but some do. Therefore, their entry into the Kingdom of Heaven is forbidden (1 Corinthians 6:10). When God says something, He does it because He loves us. So don’t ever let yourself be fooled by the enemy’s lies. Only the person without an understanding of the Truth will say that tithing only had to be given in the Old Testament!

The Lord’s work is done with the love and dedication of His people. Christ will do nothing for anyone who denies Him the prescription He has determined. That person no longer has the divine power at work in their life. We cannot deny one part of God’s commandments and still expect His promises to be fulfilled as we wish. He will be our Friend, God and Lord if we serve Him. Anyone who refuses to make room for Him in their life will never be answered (Psalm 75:2).

Being faithful in everything we learn from the Word will bring us closer to the Father’s heart, and we will be greatly blessed as a result. Don’t fail to keep the commandments and carry them out, because this proves that you love the Lord (John 14:21). Never choose the path of the wide door or irresponsibility. God watches over His Word!

In Christ, with love,

Lord of blessing! You have been good to those who love You, seek Your ordinances and please Your heart. Sadly, we recognize that bad doctrines amputate Your precepts, preventing many people from honoring You!

Sometimes, the church is in trouble because what You planned has not been practiced. Now, those who don't tithe hinder the growth of the work. And then, if you're facing some bad situation, such as illness, problems at home and other worries, will your prayer be heard?

We want to honor You and do what You have prepared for us. If we lack love for what You command as our duty, how will this wonderful gift be a reality in our lives? We don't want to dishonor You or fail to carry out Your holy plan. Help us, Father!
